Tawanna Iverson asked a restraining order against ex-husband NBA legend Allen Iverson- and in turn, A.I. asked the court to throw his ex-wife into jail for ransacking his house in his absence.

TMZ reported that Allen recently filed a motion for contempt in Georgia against his estranged wife Tawanna Iverson. The former NBA baller claimed that he headed to Asia for a basketball gig earlier this month- and when he returned home, the ex-NBA player found that someone had stolen anything that wasn’t nailed to the floor.

According to the lawsuit, Allen Iverson accused Tawanna Iverson of sneaking into his home while he was gone. He further accused her of stealing furniture, art, memorabilia, and a large sum of greenbacks.

Iverson stated that he has repeatedly asked Tawanna to return his stuff. Her response, predictably, was no.

Ever since Tawanna Iverson filed for divorce last year, she and her husband Allen Iverson had been at each other’s throats. TMZ reported last month that Tawanna filed a request for a restraining order against Allen. She claimed the NBA legend harassed and threatened her and her family.

In turn, Allen is asking another Georgia judge to hold Tawanna in contempt for harassment. He further requested that Tawanna be imprisoned until she returned the items she allegedly stole from his home. Finally, Allen Iverson asked for an official order to bar Tawanna from entering his home while he was away.

According to TMZ, no rulings have been established so far regarding the separate legal motions of Allen Iverson and Tawanna Iverson.

According to TMZ, Iverson recently filed new legal documents in Fulton County, Georgia. The former NBA Most Valuable Player formally requested a judge to dismiss Tawanna’s requested protective order.

TMZ was the first to report the claims by Tawanna Iverson that her ex-husband “has engaged in increasingly contemptuous, threatening, and disturbing behavior” over the last few months. Tawanna told TMZ that she feared things would only get worse.

A judge has yet to rule on the legal request by Allen Iverson. He and Tawanna divorced in 2010.

TMZ reported that Tawanna Iverson recently filed new legal documentation. She claims Allen “has engaged in increasingly contemptuous, threatening, and disturbing behavior” over the last few months. Tawanna says she is afraid that the already-bitter divorce battle is about to get worse.

It was unclear if Tawanna Iverson wants her husband to stay away physically, or to just stop harassing her and her family.

In addition to a protective order, Tawanna also wants the judge to stop Allen Iverson from hiding a supposedly large amount of money from her.

Allen Iverson did not return any calls TMZ made.

According to reports, the 36-year-old Allen Iverson filed a motion last week in an attempt to dismiss his pending divorce case which have been on and off for two years, claiming that he and Tawanna Iverson had temporarily reconciled from November 2011 to February 2012. Allen also claims that he and his wife had “resumed marital relationship, cohabiting, having sexual relations and holding themselves out as husband and wife.”

According to Allen Iverson, those reasons are enough for a judge to throw out Tawanna Iverson’s divorce petition, on grounds their marriage isn’t “irretrievably broken,” as she had previously claimed.

Allen’s move comes two weeks after Tawanna asked the court to order the NBA star to turn over all his financial records, plus a detailed list of all the women he has slept with during their marriage.

Allen Iverson and Tawanna Iverson, who have been together (off and on) since their high school days in Hampton, Virginia, married in August 2001. The couple have five children.

She completely made a different turn, from saying that women were not involved in their marriage, to claiming that Allen Iverson had affairs while they were still married.

Tawanna Iverson first filed for divorce from then-husband Allen Iverson in March 2010. The former couple attempted to reconcile and Tawanna dropped the divorce petition, but she filed again in June 2011. That same month, she told TMZ that the her split with the NBA star had nothing to do with rumored infidelity on her husband’s part, saying that “cheating in the marriage has never been an issue.”

However, Tawanna Iverson seemed to have changed her mind. According to the court docs she filed earlier this month, Tawanna has asked Allen Iverson to “give the name and telephone number of every person other than your spouse whom you have had sexual relations and/or intimate physical contact from the date of the marriage to the date of trial.”

In the divorce docs filed in June 2011, Tawanna requested sole legal and physical custody of the couple’s five children, in addition to child support and alimony.

Tawanna Iverson and Allen Iverson met at Bethel High School in Hampton, Virginia. The two tied the knot in August 3, 2001. Many consider Allen to be one of the greatest point guards to have ever played in the world of NBA.
