“She’s The Man” star Amanda Bynes has just entered a “not guilty” plea to two misdemeanor hit-and-run charges Thursday in Van Nuys.

According to previous reports, the hit-and-run charges filed against the 26-year-old actress are related to the accidents that occurred on April 10 and August 4. The driving license of Amanda Bynes was also suspended on August 25 following the incidents and her arrest on April 6 on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Prosecutors initially declined to charge Amanda Bynes for the first incident, but after the actress was accused of the second incident, they reopened case #1.

The hit-and-run case is said to be due back in court on October 19, and Bynes also has a trial date for her DUI case on October 29.

Meanwhile, Bynes has been spotted hanging out in New York since last weekend.

Media outlet Celebuzz reported that during a two-hour evening visit to the Little Cupcake Bakeshop in Soho on Wednesday, Amanda Bynes locked herself in the bathroom for a half-hour, which allegedly alarmed a firefighter patron when the actress did not respond to him for 15 minutes as he tried to communicate through the door.

A source told the website that authorities were called regarding a signal to break down the door, but then Amanda Bynes emerged as if nothing had happened.

“She just calmly said, ‘Excuse me, I was doing my makeup,’” an eyewitness told Celebuzz.

The incident is said to be similar to the nearly two hours she reportedly spent in a dressing room at West Hollywood boutique Kin, during which time a clerk said banging noises were heard from the room about every ten minutes. After another employee was called in to help with the situation, Bynes allegedly told both she needed more time.

Former “All That” star Amanda Bynes has reportedly engaged in a series of bizarre behaviors during a workout class at her local gym in Hollywood Tuesday night — resulting in her instructor stopping the session halfway through and kicking her out.

According to sources at Equinox, Amanda Bynes was attending a 50-minute spin class when suddenly, she stopped in the middle of the session and wandered aimlessly throughout the studio, looking for a new bike.

When the actress finally found a suitable replacement that is closer to the room’s huge mirror, Amanda Bynes hopped back on the bike, but removed her top immediately to reveal “a tiny black strapless push up bra … not a sports bra,” said an Equinox source.

Then, roughly 25 minutes into the workout class, Bynes stopped cycling again then proceeded rummaging through her Louis Vuitton purse to look for her makeup, then leisurely reapplied it while the rest of her class went on with the routine.

Then, after ten more minutes of doing her makeup — lipstick, eyeliner, the whole thing — the gym instructor got furious with Bynes’ odd behavior and told her to get out of his class.
The actress then promptly put back her shirt, picked up her bad and other stuff, then left.

On Wednesday, Amanda Bynes spoke out for the first time since the recent headlines about her strange behavior. She told People magazine that all the claims about her mental instability are nothing but “false.”

“I am retired as an actor. I am moving to New York to launch my career. I am going to do a fashion line,” she told the magazine. “I am not talking about being arrested for DUI because I don’t drink, and I don’t drink and drive. It is all false.”

Although People magazine noted that Amanda Bynes was “polite, respectful and upbeat on the phone” during their interview, her recent reports have suggested that the actress is facing issues bigger than her alleged hit-and-run and DUIs.

Media outlet TMZ reported on Wednesday that the parents of Bynes were trying to sell their Cedar Park, Texas home so they can move to Los Angeles to be closer to their daughter. However, their move does not suggest they are planning on a conservatorship, TMZ said.

Close friends of the actress reportedly told TMZ that Amanda Bynes has insisted she is doing good and is capable of making her own life decisions.

However, the relatives of the actress are not so sure.

“She needs to stop drinking and driving,” Bynes uncle, Ronald told Celebuzz during an interview. “She needs help. (Her father) doesn’t want to talk about her and often changes the subject. The problem is there’s no correspondence (between Amanda and her parents).”

“I don’t even think they know what’s going on with her. They’re very upset about her recent problems, but they’re in the dark,” he said.

A source close to the former child star added that “people around Amanda are really concerned about her.”

“She tells people she doesn’t party or drink. She doesn’t realize she has a problem,” the source told People magazine.

Back in April of this year, Amanda Bynes’ father, Rick Bynes, argued that his daughter was not drinking when she struck the vehicle of a police officer.

“She was not drunk,” Rick told People magazine at the time. “I was told that she blew a zero on the Breathalyzer. She didn’t have a single drink that night … My daughter doesn’t drink.”

On Wednesday, a Beverly Hills judge decided that Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes will not have to fork over $50,000 bail in her driving under the influence case — despite a request from the prosecutors noting that she was subsequently charged with two hit and runs.

According to reports, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Elden Fox — who refused the bail amount on the actress — gave a warning to Richard Hutton, Amanda Bynes’ lawyer, that his client whose driving license was suspended on August 25, must not drive.

Previous reports have stated that the actress was cited Sunday morning by the Burbank airport police for driving with a suspended driver’s license. Bynes vehicle, a BMW, was towed from the stop and subsequently impounded.

Her driver’s license was suspended after the police filed two hit-and-run charges against Amanda Bynes earlier this month, in addition to her charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Since her license was suspended August 25, Amanda Bynes has been reportedly spotted behind the wheel of her car on multiple occasions. On September 9, she was pulled over by the Los Angeles police, who said they saw her driving with her headlights turned off. At the time, officers did not check her driver’s license and did not cite her.

Back in April 6, the “Hairspray” star was arrested about three in the morning after the police said her black BMW rear-ended a sheriff’s vehicle. Bynes was subsequently charged with driving under the influence after she declined to take a breathalyzer or blood-alcohol test.

Meanwhile on August 4, a motorist told police that a car driven by Amanda Bynes struck and damaged her Toyota on Ventura Boulevard. The driver claimed that the actress stopped for a brief moment only, declared there was no severe damage and then drove off. Police said Bynes failed to provide insurance information or even allow authorities to be called before leaving the scene.

The Nickelodeon star was also involved in an alleged hit and run incident on April 10, authorities said.

The Burbank city attorney’s office said it has not received the case yet, but that Amanda Bynes could face prosecution for driving with a suspended license.

The former “All That” star, who was not required to appear in court Wednesday on her misdemeanor charges, will have her case heard on October 29.

Former child star Amanda Bynes insists that she is not having a Britney Spears-type of mental issues, telling close friends that she does not need a conservatorship because she is still perfectly capable of making her own life decisions.

According to reports from media outlet TMZ, 26-year-old Amanda Bynes is adamant that she does not have substance abuse problems. The actress also reportedly dismissed the pending criminal hit-and-run charges and driving under the influence cases against her, claiming that the charges are nothing but false.

Amanda Bynes also reportedly said that her family has never brought up even the possibility of a conservatorship. This is said to be consistent with a contact TMZ had with a rep for Bynes’ family a few months back, where the rep insisted the family of the actress felt Amanda had no mental issues.

TMZ reports that several friends and relatives of Amanda Bynes’ family have tried convincing them that the “All That” star needs to seek professional help, but as of early summer, the pleas were ignored.

As previous reports have stated, the neighbors of the actress, as well as her fellow gym goers have become increasingly alarmed, claiming that Amanda has shown troubling signs of serious mental issues — including talking to inanimate objects.

As for reports that Amanda Bynes is entering a rehab facility in the next few days, the actress reportedly said no because there is no reason to check into a treatment facility.

Amanda Bynes: “I’m not crazy”

“What A Girl Wants” star Amanda Bynes is determined to prove that she has not lost her mind and that she does not smoke marijuana inside her vehicle.
According to reports, close friends of former child star Amanda Bynes are trying to reach out to her lately because they want to be able to help her, but she has been reportedly telling them to back off because “everything’s fine.”

Bynes said that the stories about her serious mental issues “are being blown way out of proportion.”

The actress is also reportedly telling friends that the picture media outlet TMZ posted of her smoking from what appeared to be a drug pipe inside her car is not what it seems. Amanda Bynes said she was smoking tobacco.

As it was previously reported, TMZ had a talk with several people who claim they have witnessed Amanda’s behavior recently. They said the actress is talking to herself in the gym, chatting with inanimate objects and they fear she may be suffering from serious mental issues.

Meanwhile, Amanda Bynes is still facing two hit-and-run-charges, one driving under the influence charge and her license is currently suspended. Her car also got impounded on Sunday.

“All That” star Amanda Bynes reportedly told the police on Sunday that she was at Burbank Airport to catch a flight, but after the actress “drew attention to herself” and parking in a no-parking area, she just suddenly drove off — and this happened just before her vehicle was impounded.

According to reports, the strange run-in with Amanda Bynes occurred around 8AM. The Burbank Airport Police noticed the actress because of her behavior, although the cops were not specific. After that, they asked her to leave from the no-parking area where she was stopped.

A short time later, the police officers saw Amanda Bynes driving erratically near the valet area. The actress then left the airport without entering the terminal. And within an hour, the authorities pulled over Bynes for a traffic violation near the airport, realized that the former child star was actually driving on a suspended license, so they decided to impound her car.

“She’s The Man” star Amanda Bynes seems to have bigger issues than driving erratically and smoking pot — reports claim that there is evidence the actress has serious mental issues.

Media outlet TMZ has spoken with a number of people who have had close and repeated contact with Amanda Bynes over the last few months, and the stories of her mental issues are allegedly consistent and quite disturbing.

A lot of people from Amanda’s gym, Equinox in Hollywood, claim that the actress has been exhibiting increasingly alarming signs of delusional behavior. One person claims Amanda Bynes came to the gym on Thursday looking dazed and began speaking to herself, making comments and then answering back.

Another one claims that when the actress was on the elliptical, she would suddenly stop and start “laughing hysterically for no reason.” Bynes reportedly did this throughout her workout. The guy claims he has seen the actress a lot of times in the last few months, and says it is apparent her condition is “deteriorating.”

Also, several of the actress’ neighbors say the same concern over the condition of Amanda Bynes. One neighbor told TMZ that he observed her on multiple occasions having long conversations with inanimate objects. Another one claims people in Amanda’s condo complex are aware of her condition, but have not called and informed her friends or relatives or even the authorities because they don’t want to get involved in all the mess, given her profile as a Hollywood actress.

“She’s The Man” star Amanda Bynes has been reportedly spotted by some patrol officers smoking what appears to be a drug pipe disguised as cigarette lighter on Tuesday, then getting behind the wheel of her BMW and driving erratically throughout the streets of Los Angeles — on a suspended license.

According to reports, media outlet TMZ was able to speak with the officers who saw former child star Amanda Bynes. They say the pictures of the actress explain a lot about her alleged hit-and-runs. One cop who has had several years of experience as a patrol officers said, “She’s on the same road as my wife and kids and I’m scared about getting a call in the middle of the night that my little one is dead.”

The cop added, “She’s addicted to something and she’s driving a deadly weapon and is going to kill someone. It scares the s**t out of me.”

Another cop said, “The public should be afraid of her. From looking at the photos, and what she’s smoking, she has no sense of reality.  If she’s not stopped she’s gonna kill someone.”

“She is going down a road that she cannot come back from when she injures or kills someone. The photos don’t surprise me at all,” said another cop.

It was reported that Amanda Bynes first sat in the parking lot of Baja Fresh restaurant in the San Fernando Valley, allegedly taking hits from the drug pipe device while indulging herself on tacos.

After that, Amanda Bynes then reportedly went to a spa for three hours before heading to the road, driving on a recently suspended license and allegedly weaving in and out of traffic — cutting off fellow drivers along the way.

Then, the “Hairspray” star parked at a Home Depot, where she was again allegedly seen smoking the drug pipe.

Earlier this month, several news went around the Internet about Amanda Bynes facing multiple charges in various cases of hit-and-run. The charges stemmed from an initial incident on the Los Angeles freeway back April, and then followed by another fender bender on August 4.

Although Amanda Bynes initially avoided prosecution for her first case, wherein she crashed into a cop car, the Los Angeles City Attorney decided to reopen her case following the second incident.

The Department of Motor Vehicles also suspended the driver’s license of Amanda Bynes on August 25, possibly following her refusal to undergo a field sobriety test for her suspected driving under the influence back in April.

A refusal to take the field sobriety test in California results in an automatic license suspension.

However, Rick Bynes — the father of the actress — defended his daughter, saying that Amanda does not drink:

“She was not drunk,” Rick Bynes told People magazine back in April. “I was told that she blew a zero on the Breathalyzer. She didn’t have a single drink that night. My daughter doesn’t drink.”

The former “All That” star similarly took to Twitter in a strange appeal to U.S President Barack Obama to help her with the situation she was embroiled in.

“Hey @BarackObama… I don’t drink,” Amanda Bynes tweeted. “Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don’t hit and run. The end.”

In case she is convicted of the two hit-and-run cases, Amanda Bynes could face six months in prison for each charge.

The actress is due in court on September 27.

“All That” star Amanda Bynes has been pulled over again in Los Angeles Sunday night after her driver’s license was suspended — but for some reason, the actress did not end up going to prison.

According to reports, 26-year-old Amanda Bynes was pulled over by the cops for driving without her headlights on. Luckily, she was just given a verbal warning and was subsequently sent on her way.

However, it is unclear if officers ran the driver’s license of the “Hairspray” because in case they did, they would have noticed that it was reportedly suspended last week by the Department of Motor Vehicles after she was hit with two misdemeanor hit-and-run charges. Amanda Bynes also refused to take a breathalyzer after being arrested for driving under the influence — which triggers an automatic one-year license suspension.

Criminal defense attorney Troy Slaten said that police have one year up from the date of the incident to file a citation for driving with a suspended license, which carries a possible punishment of a minimum of ten days in prison, and up to one year of driving with an ignition interlock device.

“If there was a verbal warning, there isn’t a police report—but that doesn’t mean that they cannot go back and write one up,” Slaten said. He also said that it’s technically possible that the license of Amanda Bynes had been reinstated, depending on when the DMV lowered the boom, but that it would have take an “extraordinary appeal” on her behalf.

As for the current cases pending against Amanda Bynes, Slaten says they will not affect whether she’s convicted, but they could factor into the deal-making process.

“It wouldn’t be a violation of any case because she is not on probation,” he said. “What it will do is make it harder for her attorney, Richard Hutton, to get her a good deal.”

“All these things add up,” Slaten adds, noting that a conviction for drunk driving would be two points on Amanda Bynes’ license, driving with a suspended license is two points and a hit and run is two points. If a driver gets four points in just a span of 12 months, that’s an automatic license suspension. If they get six points within 24 months, their license would be suspended, and the same goes for eight points in three years.

The hit-and-run victim of actress Amanda Bynes whom she allegedly crashed into and then fled the scene, said that the reckless driving of the actress could have killed her and she should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for the incident.

According to reports, media outlet TMZ spoke with Kisa — Bynes’ alleged car crash victim — who said, “Someone could have died if [Amanda] kept driving. A normal person would not get away with hit and runs and she shouldn’t either.”

As previous reports have stated, 26-year-old Amanda Bynes allegedly rear-ended Kisa on August 4th and then fled the scene without exchanging insurance information. Then last week, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office charged the actress with two counts of hit and run — one count for her accident with Kisa, then one count for an accident in April.

After the charges have been filed, the driving license of Bynes was suspended by the Department of Motor Vehicles. However, it is unclear if and how the charges played a role in the license suspension.

Regardless, Amanda Bynes cannot drive in Los Angeles anytime soon, and Kisa said that it’s the best thing for everyone. “I’m glad she’s off the road. She absolutely needs to pay for her actions and taking away her license is a good first step,” she said.

Kisa adds, “I feel she needs to get some sort of help and maybe this will be the catalyst.”

Amanda Bynes is due in court on September 27th. She faces up to a year in prison in case she is convicted of both charges.
