California rap band Hollywood Undead has been accused of mercilessly beating their own lead singer, Aron Erlichman, after he decided to quit the band a few months ago and go solo.
According to reports, Aron Erlichman, commonly known as “Deuce,” has been the target of his former Hollywood Undead bandmates’ angry threats after he announced that he would part ways with them already since they formed in 2005. Erlichman says that on May 25, after his performance at a Hollywood spot named Angels & Kings, he saw his former bandmates “lying in wait” for him. When the group spotted Aron Erlichman, they allegedly jumped him and went to town — punching kicking and stomping on him, Erlichman claims. The former Hollywood Undead lead singer also added that his friend was injured in the brawl while trying to defend him form his attackers.
TMZ reports that Aron Erlichman was severely injured and went to the police to report his bandmates Dylan “Funnyman” Alvarez and Jorel “J-Dog” Decker of attacking him. Additionally, the singer told the police that the two Hollywood Undead members brought along another guy to videotape the attack, suggesting it was premeditated.
Now, Aron Erlichman is considering to file a lawsuit against his former Hollywood Undead bandmates and has already hired lawyer Donald Karpel. Meanwhile, the police are currently investigating the alleged assault.
Hollywood Undead has earned a cult following after the release of their debut album, Swan Songs, in September 2008, and their live CD/DVD Desperate Measures, in November 2009. American Tragedy, their second studio album, was released in April 2011.
All band members of Hollywood Undead use aliases and each of them are wearing variations of a hockey goalkeeper’s mask.
