Sisters of Bruno Mars threaten “X Factor” contenders
An all-girl singing group featured on the singing competition “X Factor” have been reportedly threatened by the sisters of pop singer Bruno Mars — claiming their band name was “hijacked.”
According to reports, the four female siblings of Bruno Mars make up the girl band called The Lylas — an R&B singing group that also happens to have a major modeling deal in the Philippines.
However, there is another singing girl group with the same name — The Lylas — and they are currently contenders in the hit singing competition “X Factor.” Reports stated that the group was recently chosen by judge Simon Cowell to compete on his team.
When Bruno Mars’ sisters learned about the other band of The Lylas, they were utterly pissed and started trashing the “X Factor” Lylas all over the Internet, claiming the girl group in question hijacked their name.
Sources connected to the “X Factor” said that the contestants were surprised by the accusations thrown at them, insisting that they were not trying to hijack the name. They simply did not know someone else had already laid claim to “The Lylas” name.
Now, sources said that the “X Factor” girls are already brainstorming ideas for a new group name.
