Singer and TV host Carnie Wilson has reportedly undergone a lap-band surgery for the second time in 12 years.

The 43-year-old Wilson, of the group Wilson Phillips, confirmed to “People” magazine that she had lap-band surgery, a procedure in which an adjustable band is positioned around the patient’s stomach to help limit the amount of food consumed.

Carnie Wilson said that she has lost 30 pounds since undergoing the lap-band surgery on January 18. The singer had previously lost 150 when she underwent a far more invasive gastric bypass surgery back in 1999. At the time, she weighed more than 300 pounds. The lap-band surgery she had during that time reduced the size of her stomach to that of an egg. However, Carnie Wilson regained some of the weight back when she had her daughters, six-year-old Lola and two-year-old Luciana.

Speaking of her weight gain, Wilson told People in 2010 that having children “derailed” her, describing the second procedure as “the right decision.”

“I’m doing really well so far,” Carnie Wilson told People. “It’s all about taking good care of myself.”

Wilson Phillips has a new album and reality show on the way.
