Professional race car driver Chris Rado has been arrested by the authorities due to suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

According to TMZ sources, 36-year-old Rado was pulled over for an unknown traffic violation early Friday morning. Sources added that the police officers detected a smell of alcohol, leading them to decide administering a field sobriety test for Chris Rado. The results of the test were enough to book him on misdemeanor suspicion of driving under the influence.

Chris Rado was held on $5,000 bail, which he posted Friday afternoon.

Rado is chiefly notable for his participation in import drag racing, currently driving a factory-backed Scion tC in the Pro FWD category in the NHRA Sports Compact series for his own team, WORLD Racing, in addition to other series such as the NOPI Drag Racing Series and Battle of the Imports.
