Courtney Wagner, the daughter of Robert Wagner and the late Natalie Wood, was arrested at her Malibu home last month for reportedly harboring drugs and guns. E! News confirmed that Los Angeles Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about a possible shooting at Wagner’s Malibu, CA home on on April 22.
Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore relays that authorities discovered multiple handguns and baggies of what appeared to be narcotics. Steve Whitmore refused to speculate on the contents of those bags. TMZ is reporting that the bags held cocaine and heroin.
38-year-old Courtney Wagner was booked at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station for possession. Her companion, 24-year-old Matthew Cox, was booked for allegedly discharging a firearm in a negligent manner.
Both Wagner and Matthew Cox have since been released. Wagner exited jail the following morning on a $10,000 bond.
Courtney Wagner got busted several months after the L.A. Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau reopened the investigation into the death of her mother Natalie Wood in 1981.
Detectives stated that Dennis Davern, captain of the boat Wood fell from off the coast of Catalina, has offered new information that’s “worthy of exploring,”
The Natalie Wood investigation is still considered to be active as of January. But detectives consider to classify the death of the mother of Courtney Wagner as accidental.
