Former ‘Seinfeld’ actor Daniel von Bargen is currently struggling to hang on to his dear life after surviving a self-inflicted gunshot to his head as a failed suicide attempt on Monday morning.

“I’ve shot myself in the head, and I need help,” Daniel von Bargen said in a chilling 911 call after the actor’s failed suicide attempt at his apartment in Cincinnati, Ohio. The 911 operator asked if the shooting was an accident, to which von Bargen answered, “I was supposed to go to the hospital and I didn’t want to.” Daniel von Bargen went on explaining he is diabetic, adding fragmented details. “They [doctors] were supposed to amputate at least a few toes,” the Seinfeld star said. The operator then asked where the gunshot wound is, and Daniel replied, “I shot in my temple.”

Law enforcement officials confirm they were dispatched to the Cincinnati apartment complex of Daniel von Bargen a short time later, and when they arrived, they can be heard on the 911 tape yelling at Daniel to keep his hands where where they were visible to make sure he is not armed anymore. Additionally, the 61-year-old actor can be heard giving even more graphic detail of his failed suicide attempt.

Daniel von Bargen was later admitted to a nearby hospital where he is currently in critical condition.

In addition to his role as Mr. Kruger on Seinfeld, Daniel von Bargen also starred on “Malcolm in the Middle” as Commandant Edwin Spangler, and as Chief Grady in the 2001 film “Super Troopers.”
