Danny Veltri, “Hell’s Kitchen” champion back in 2009 was arrested by the police this weekend at a gas station in Florida due to drunk driving.

According to reports, an officer was dispatched at 4:16 in the morning of Sunday due to a report of a drunk driver at Murphy’s Express gas station, 2355 S.R. 44. The police officer found Danny Veltri “intoxicated and in control of a motor vehicle” which was identified as a 2005 Dodge Neon.

A New Smyrna Beach police official said arrest reports due to the drunk driving of Veltri were not processed and could not be released, but said Veltri took a breathalyzer test and produced a result of 0.12. Drivers in Florida are considered too drunk to drive when their blood-alcohol level is 0.08 or higher.

Danny Veltri, who is now a general manager at a place called the Gnarly Surf Bar & Grill near Daytona Beach, was eventually brought to a nearby station where he was booked for drunk driving and released on $500 bail.
