Debbie Rowe, the former wife of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson and the mother of two of his children, has just filed legal documents saying that she is in support of the new joint guardianship arrangement — but she also gave a warning to TJ and Katherine Jackson that she will intervene in case things don’t work out for the best.
According to reports, 53-year-old Debbie Rowe filed the legal papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Thursday, stating in the papers that she has reviewed the co-guardianship application and signed off on the deal that transpired between Katherine and TJ Jackson to share the parenting responsibilities for Blanket, Paris and Prince.
However, in the documents, Debbie Rowe warns “Should the arrangement sought by TJ Jackson and Katherine Jackson become untenable, unstable, unsafe, or in any way contrary to the best interests of the children, Ms. Rowe will seek court intervention.”
Rowe claims that her concern stems for the health, safety and well-being of her children, adding that she will continue to ensure all of their needs are met.
Previous reports have stated that when TJ Jackson first petitioned for guardianship, the judge said that Debbie Rowe should be notified.
Rowe first met Michael Jackson while she was working as a nurse in Dr. Arnold Klein’s dermatology office, where the pop singer was being treated for vitiligo. She recalled that after the divorce of Jackson from then-wife Lisa Marie Presley back in 1996, he became upset at the possibility that he might never become a father. Debbie Rowe, a longtime huge fan of Michael Jackson, proposed to bear his children.
In 1996, it was announced that Rowe was pregnant, and the two were later married on November 14, 1996 in Sydney, Australia. It was Rowe’s second marriage, her first being to Richard Edelman in 1982.
Three months after Debbie Rowe and Michael Jackson’s marriage, she gave birth to son, Michael Joseph Jackson Jr. (born February 13, 1997), who was subsequently known as Prince. The following year, she gave birth to daughter, Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson (born April 3, 1998). Michael Jackson took full responsibility for raising the children.
