Domingo Zapata denies romance with Lindsay Lohan
Contemporary artist Domingo Zapata has denied claims that he and “Mean Girls” actress Lindsay Lohan have a relationship — even though the rich and famous artist lets Lindsay drive his luxurious vehicles.
As previous reports have stated, 26-year-old Lindsay Lohan was driving the fancy Porsche of Domingo Zapata in New York City last month when she allegedly hit a pedestrian in front of the Dream Hotel. The actress was arrested a while later for fleeing the scene of the accident.
After the incident, rumors quickly spread that Lindsay Lohan was going out with Domingo Zapata. However, this week in Los Angeles, Zapata made it clear that the claims are not true, and that he and Lindsay are “just friends.”
Domingo Zapata, a Spanish-American contemporary artist, lives and works between his studios in New York at The Bowery Hotel, Hollywood at the Chateau Marmont Hotel, and in the 16e arrondissement in Paris. He is best known for his figurative and abstract expressionist paintings of varying subject matter. Past series have included themes ranging from polo players to circus animals, and from Hollywood actors to flamenco dancers and bullfighters. Zapata’s paintings are predominantly mixed media works, featuring oil and acrylic paints as well as elements of collage from found objects, spray paint, and re-worked photographs.
