Sublime bassist Eric Wilson dislocates shoulder in longboard accident
Eric Wilson, bassist of the band Sublime, was in a summer tour with his band last weekend when he got involved in a longboard accident, resulting in a dislocated shoulder.
According to TMZ sources, the longboard accident of 42-year-old Eric Wilson happened last Sunday at the Summerfest in Milwaukee. Sources say that the bassist’s rottweiler was pulling him around the backstage on his longboard, when Eric Wilson suddenly took a nasty fall. Wilson’s hand was said to have been tangled in the dog’s leash somehow. The strong rottweiler then dragged him ten feet, resulting in his dislocated right shoulder.
Paramedics quickly responded to the scene and rushed Eric Wilson to a nearby hospital. The doctors then popped his shoulder back into its socket. While Wilson is back on the road now, he is still recovering from the longboard accident.
Fortunately, the bassist did not injure his left shoulder, which helps support his bass strap and does most of the moving when he plays. The rep of Wilson told TMZ, “If he had injured his left shoulder, we would have had to cancel the rest of the tour.”
