Courtney Love is losing what little control she has over the profitable estate of her late husband, legendary rocker Kurt Cobain. Perez Hilton reports that Miss Love and Kurt Cobain’s daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, have recently gained the rights to the name, likeness, and appearance of Kurt Cobain.

However, two years ago, Courtney Love got a $2.75 million loan from the trust fund set up for Frances Bean Cobain. She has not yet paid it back.

And according to recent documents consulted by Perez Hilton, until Miss Love pays back that loan, she cannot profit from the publicity rights of Kurt Cobain.

Further, the docs state that Courtney Love stepped down as manager of End of Music LLC -the company that handles the money made off the Cobain rights- in exchange for the loan.

Frances Bean Cobain, however, is apparently under no such limitation and can thus profit off her father’s rights.

Courtney Love does own about 60 percent of her late husband’s estate. But she still has no control over Kurt Cobain’s profitable image or his legendary music. Those two are owned by Primary Wave Music.

Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of the late Nirvana legend Kurt Cobain, has reportedly slammed her mother after she accused Dave Grohl of “hitting on” the young Frances.

According to reports, Frances’ mother, Courtney Love, posted on Twitter allegations that former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl hit on 19-year-old Frances Bean Cobain during a recent encounter. Such remarks were vehemently denied by Frances, and in response to her troubled mother’s post, she released a statement of her own.

“While I’m generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn. I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way,” Frances Bean said. “I’m in a monogamous relationship and very happy. Twitter should ban my mother.”

Dave Grohl, who was caught in the middle of the family feud of Frances Bean Cobain and Courtney Love, also responded to Love’s allegations, which she made on her protected personal Twitter account.

“Unfortunately Courtney is on another hateful twitter rant. These new accusations are upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue,” Grohl said.

Courtney Love lost custody of Frances Bean Cobain when she was 17 and the child moved in with her paternal grandmother.
