Grtis Ivey, son of rapper Coolio, is facing more than three years in prison after striking a plea deal with the prosecutors for the allegations against him of armed robbery.

As previous reports have stated, 22-year-old Ivey, together with a female friend named Shantrice Wilkerson, were arrested on November 14, 2011 for allegedly breaking into a Las Vegas apartment with a gun, subsequently forcing the tenant into the bathroom while his female prostitute friend ransacked the whole place for valuables. Grtis Ivey and Shantrice were reportedly able to take two laptops, two iPads and a safe. But they were later identified by the victim and were taken into custody by the cops.

Law enforcement sources said that Ivey was slapped with charges which include robbery with a deadly weapon, grand larceny, and first degree kidnapping. But earlier this week, Grtis Ivey agreed to a plea deal with prosecutors in which he pleaded guilty to a felony robbery charge. In exchange, the prosecutors will drop the four remaining felony charges.

As part of the agreement, Ivey will be given a minimum of three and a half years in prison, and a maximum of ten years depending on how much time the judge believes he deserves for the armed robbery case. A judge will be giving a formal sentence on September 12 against Grtis Ivey.

Ironically, Ivey was imprisoned in the same jail as his hip-hop father Coolio back in November. The police found two active bench warrants for the Gangsta’s Paradise hitmaker’s arrest after he was pulled over during a routine traffic stop.

Rapper Coolio’s oldest son, Grtis Ivey, is spending time in a Nevada jail after allegedly conspiring with a Vegas prostitute to rob some guy at gunpoint.

According to TMZ reports, Grtis Ivey, who appeared on the family reality show “Coolio’s Rules” under the name ‘Artis,’ was arrested on November 14, 2011 for allegedly breaking into a Las Vegas apartment with a gun and forcing the tenant into the bathroom, while Grtis and a female hooker named Shantrice Wilkerson turned the place inside out.

According to the police report, Shantrice was trollin’ at LAX nightclub at the Luxor on October 26 when she met a guy named Joseph Hall, who had no idea she was a hooker. The two hit it off, and Shantrice Wilkerson told Hall that she had a “dream” of making love on a pile of money.

Joseph Hall asked if $5,000 would be fine, and Wilkerson agreed. The two eventually went back to Hall’s apartment to grab the cash out of a safe. However, before anything happened, Shantrice Wilkerson asked for money, then Joseph Hall flipped out and left.

The police said Wilkerson remembered where Hall lived. She then brought Grtis Ivey to the place three days later so they could rob it. Grtis entered the place holding a gun and ordered Joseph Hall’s rooommate into the bathroom while he and Shantrice Wilkerson stole a safe, two iPads, two laptops, passports, and anything else that wasn’t nailed down.

Cops added that Hall’s roommate identified identified Grtis Ivey and Shantrice Wilkerson, and both were arrested on a string of charges including robbery with a deadly weapon, first degree kidnapping and grand larceny.

Both Grtis Ivey and Shantrice Wilkerson told the police they never brought a gun to the apartment. Wilkerson, however, admitted to stealing some of the stuff. Grtis is being held without bail and is due to face a judge Monday.
