The founder of Pink Taco and well-known restaurateur Harry Morton has filed a lawsuit against financial services company, Wells Fargo, claiming he is a victim of a money-laundering scheme which cost him $1.3 million.

According to reports, Harry Morton filed the legal docs in Los Angeles County Superior Court, claiming he hired a consultant named Carlos Nieto to manage the day-to-day accounting for his new Pink Taco location in West Hollywood. However, the guy allegedly screwed up, extracting over half a million dollars of Morton’s money into bogus bank accounts.

However, Harry Morton isn’t putting all the blame on Carlos Nieto. He is also suing Wells Fargo, claiming they were not paying enough attention to the guy to notice his crooked activities.

The lawsuit of the Pink Taco founder states that Nieto stole a grand total of $674,000, which forced Harry Morton to shut down construction on his new restaurant for five months. As a result of the delay, Morton claims he’s had to pay five extra months of extremely expensive bills, including rent, bank loan interest, insurance, contractors’ fees, and so on. Now, the restaurateur is suing Carlos Nieto and Wells Fargo for at least $1.3 million.

Harry Morton used to date actress Lindsay Lohan, and his father was the founder of Hard Rock Casino.
