Celebrity ex-couple Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner will not be facing charges after the two allegedly got into a physical altercation, which was said to have sent the actress over the edge, after Locklear was hospitalized recently due to drug and alcohol binge.

Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner, who called off their engagement in November after nearly four years as a couple, met with prosecutors on February 9 to discuss the incident, during which the two agreed they did not want to pursue the matter any further. The city attorney spokesman Frank Mateljian said, “No further action is anticipated at this time.” Attorney Mateljian also added, “Ms. Locklear and Mr. Wagner had a discussion, and that was the end of it. No charges will be filed in the matter, and the case is closed.”

Previous reports from Star magazine say that a fight was prompted after Jack Wagner appeared at the Sherman Oaks home of Heather Locklear to return some of her belongings. ”A huge argument erupted as they insulted each other’s families,” one source told the publication. “As Heather went to her car, Jack lunged at her, trying to grab or push her. Her reaction was to swing. She caught Jack with a right hook across his face, knocking him to the ground,” claims the source.

The 52-year-old Jack Wagner then attempted to put his hands around her, but she grabbed his dog and fled; he ran into her home.

The ‘Melrose Place’ star Heather Locklear has reportedly been taking Xanax to manage her anxiety in the wake of her devastating separation with Jack Wagner. The mixture of prescription pills and alcohol caused Heather Locklear to collapse and her sister Colleen to call 911 on January 12. Locklear was then rushed to the emergency room but released a day after to be in the care of her family.

Emergency response team rushed to the residence of Heather Locklear and determined that she needs to be transported to the hospital to get further medical attention. When the deputies arrived, paramedics were already administering aid to her. Law enforcements were told that Heather Locklear took a mixture of prescription drugs and alcohol.

If we recall November last year, she called of her engagement to Melrose Place co-star Jack Wagner, and since then it was believed that she is distraught when the on-off relationship finally came to an end, claiming that it was the best decision for their children.

Prior to the incident, Heather Locklear was spotted with a friend at a Lakers game, Tuesday night, January 10. This incident is one proof that drugs and alcohol will never be good companions to a broken heart.
