Late rapper Heavy D is making headlines again after his sudden demise last year due to a disease. Reports say the rapper has a tax lien and owes over $40,000 to the government.

According to TMZ reports, Heavy D was working on a huge comeback before he died last year. The docs filed last month by the Franchise Tax Board in California states that Heavy D, real name Dwight Arrington Myers, has a tax lien against him in the amount of $43,967.87. The tax lien applies to the years 2008 and 2009.

Heavy D kicked the bucket last November after suffering a pulmonary embolism outside his Beverly Hills home. The coroner’s office found that Heavy D died of a blood clot in his lung. He also suffered from deep leg vein thrombosis and heart disease. The blood clot was “most likely formed during an extended airplane ride,” said Craig Harvey, chief of the Los Angeles County department of coroner.
