Homeless man to press charges against “RHOM” star Peter Rosello
The homeless man who was attacked on tape by “Real Housewives of Miami” star Peter Rosello, has just informed the authorities that he wants to press charges — and now, the police are on the hunt for the reality star.
According to law enforcement sources, the homeless man shown in the video has been contacted by the police shortly after the clip was posted in Peter Rosello’s Facebook account this week. Now, he asked to press assault charges against the reality star, who is the son of housewife Alexia Echevarria.
Media outlet TMZ posted a video of the cruel prank which Rosello titled “Hobo Gets Nutchecked!!!” on Thursday, showing Peter Rosello punching the homeless man in the nuts while he was sleeping on cardboard boxes in the nook of a building.
Peter Rosello tells the homeless man, “I was gonna give you five dollars,” then smashes his fist down on the man’s genitals, runs away, and jumps into a vehicle. The man utters a guttural “Ow!” as Rosello connects.
The reality star then wrote on his Facebook account in response to a question. He said he posted the video because “it’s funnyyyyyyyy,” adding, “im fu**ing around though. I feel bad for those people. didn’t mean to offend anyone. they got my love, i always give them like 5 bucks or weed.”
Now, law enforcement sources said that a detective has been assigned to the case and cops are actively looking to speak to Rosello, and possibly even bring him in custody on a felony assault charge.
Peter Rosello faces a felony charge because of new laws in Miami, Florida stemming from similar “pranks.” The new laws classify assault on homeless people as hate crimes, meaning they carry stricter penalties.
If convicted, Peter Rosello could face at least a year in prison.
Meanwhile, Herman Echevarria, Rosello’s politically connected stepfather, told media outlet Gossip Extra, ”It’s an unfortunate thing. But it just looks like kids playing. It’s not really violent.”
