“16 & Pregnant” star Jennifer Del Rio says ex-BF danger to her twins

Jennifer Del Rio, one of the stars in the reality TV series “16 & Pregnant,” claims that her baby daddy Joshua Smith is a “huge danger” to her twins safety — and now she is asking a judge for the sole custody of their children.
According to reports, in the latest offscreen drama for the MTV reality show, 18-year-old Jennifer Del Rio has taken her two young sons and “fled” her home in Florida. She subsequently filed legal docs in Lake County, Illinois — where she lives for the moment after fleeing the state of Florida to escape from her former boyfriend, Joshua Smith.
In the legal docs, Jennifer Del Rio says that she is the primary caregiver of her and Smith’s twin boys — bathing them, feeding them and grooming them. As such, the reality star claims that it is in their best interest to stay with her permanently. Jennifer added that it is not possible for her to share custody with Joshua Smith, claiming that Joshua Smith is guilty of domestic violence, while Smith claims that Del Rio assaulted him before.
Now, Jennifer Del Rio has asked a judge to change their current custody arrangements, which she describes as unworkable.
Previous reports have stated that Joshua Smith was arrested in November 2011 after Jennifer claimed he attacked her. The MTV reality star was also arrested for a later incident, when Smith accused her of battery — a claim Jennifer says is bogus.
After that incident, Jennifer Del Rio filed a restraining order in March against Smith, alleging he was “harassing and threatening her and saying he would have her raped.”
“16 and Pregnant” is a reality series created by MTV which follows the stories of pregnant teenage girls in high school dealing with the difficulties of teenage pregnancy. Every episode features a different teenage girl, with the show usually beginning when she is four-and-a-half to eight months pregnant.
The episode of the reality series concludes when the baby is a few months old.
Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2 are spin-off series of the MTV show.
Both series have reportedly become notorious with the antics of Jenelle Evans and Amber Portwood, who have had repeated run-ins with the law. Last December, Portwood spent a night in prison after being charged with two counts of domestic battery and one count of Neglect of a Dependent, as well as a misdemeanour charge of domestic battery after a fight with former partner, Gary Shirley. The charges are said to have stemmed from when Portwood was caught on camera allegedly physically abusing the father of her child.
Meanwhile, Jenelle Evans has been in hot water with arrests for both assault and drugs.
