Jennifer Lawrence goes Katniss Everdeen, helps collapsed woman

Jennifer Lawrence channeled her inner Katniss Everdeen on Monday when she darted to the aid of a collapsed woman yesterday.
The Inquisitr reported that Lawrence and her mother, Karen, were walking the family dog on the lawn of her Santa Monica, Los Angeles complex. A woman walked past the ‘Hunger Games’ star, only to suddenly collapse to the ground on the grass in a dead faint.
Jennifer Lawrence was not alone in coming to the aid of the collapsed woman. An unknown stranger lent his efforts to Lawrence’s attempt to wake the woman. The dynamic duo quickly decided to call 911 after they failed to wake the woman.
In addition, Lawrence picked up the victim’s phone and tried to determine who the woman’s family members were so that she could helpfully notify them of the incident.
According to the Inquisitr, half a dozen police officers eventually joined paramedics and a worried Jennifer Lawrence, who had refused to leave the collapsed woman during the entire incident.
The paramedics revived the collapsed woman on the scene. The victim, who did not require hospitalization after treatment, remained unidentified.
With that harrowing experience over, Perez Hilton reported that Lawrence returned to her apartment, dolled herself up in sleek black cocktail dress, and enjoyed a well-earned dinner with her mother Karen Lawrence.
Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson were expected to return for ‘Catching Fire,’ the second installment of ‘The Hunger Games’ trilogy. Director Francis Lawrence will start shooting the new movie late this summer. There was no word yet on who will play newcomer Johanna Mason.
PETA slams Jennifer Lawrence for squirrel-skinning joke

Animal rights group PETA was none too happy with “Hunger Games” actress Jennifer Lawrence after her response to Rolling Stone’s questions about the infamous squirrel-skinning scene in her movie, “Winter’s Bone.”
According to reports, Rolling Stone magazine had an interview with 21-year-old Jennifer Lawrence and asked her about the scene where she was skinning a squirrel. Lawrence replied, “I should say it wasn’t real, for PETA. But screw PETA.”
Now, PETA or People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals responded to the remarks given by Jennifer Lawrence and reminded her that even just the idea of killing animals is no laughing matter.
“She’s young and the plight of animals somehow hasn’t yet touched her heart,” PETA president Ingrid Newkirk said in a statement Tuesday.
“As Henry David Thoreau said,‘The squirrel you kill in jest, dies in earnest.’ When people kill animals, it is the animals who are ‘screwed,’ not PETA, and one day I hope she will try to make up for any pain she might cause any animal who did nothing but try to eke out a humble existence in nature,” Newkirk added.
However, it seems that Jennifer Lawrence wasn’t glad or anything like that when she had to learn how to skin a squirrel. The Kentucky native told E! News back in June 2010 that a friend of her brother’s demonstrated the skill for her. “He cut it open and then I went and cried in the house and let him finish,” Lawrence said.
“That was just a throw-away remark,” PETA president Newkirk added later in her released statement. “And we have our bet on Jennifer Lawrence ending up joining the ranks of other young celebrities like Natalie Portman, Lea Michele, and Kellan Lutz who are using their influence to help animals.”
Jennifer Lawrence denies feud with Kristen Stewart

“The Hunger Games” actress Jennifer Lawrence clarified her recent statements regarding fame and co-actress, Kristen Stewart. Lawrence said that she and Stewart are not fighting.
In an interview with “Glamour UK,” Jennifer Lawrence has been quoted as saying of Kristen Stewart’s post-Twilight notoriety, “I would never want to be that famous.”
In a new interview with ET, Jennifer Lawrence clarifies, “I didn’t mean it that way, [it was taken] out of context… I meant I wouldn’t have wanted it the way [instant fame] happened to [Stewart].”
Meanwhile, OK! magazine blew the story out of proportion, fabricating a huge supposed dispute between the two stars in which Jennifer Lawrence was allegedly “talking smack” about Kristen Stewart.
The 21-year-old Lawrence laughs off the outrageous report in a sit-down with Access Hollywood, calling the tabloid quotes “fake” and saying she even sent Kristen Stewart an email about the matter to make sure she didn’t mistakenly believe any of it.
“I wrote her an email because there was this huge, like, article about a Twilight and Hunger Games feud, and we’ve never met before and never spoken. There were all these, like, fake quotes from me that were actually hilarious,” Lawrence told Access Hollywood. “Some of [the quotes] were from my ‘pal’ and ‘sources.’ It was hilarious. When I was reading it, I was cracking up.”
Then Jennifer Lawrence realized that Kristen Stewart may not know the quotes were totally bogus, so she sent her an email, joking, “Hey, can’t wait to see more as this feud unfolds!”
Lawrence said that Kristen Stewart replied, “It’s fine. Welcome to the world where everything you say gets turned into [something it's not].”
