Aside from DUIs and drug possession, domestic violence is one of the most widespread scandals in the Hollywood universe. And yet again, another star has joined the bandwagon. Party of Five actor Jeremy London has been formally charged with domestic battery due to allegedly assaulting his baby’s mama Melissa Cunningham last month in Palm Springs.
It was reported that Melissa Cunningham called the police on November 18, morning after the alleged domestic battery happened. According to the report, it all started when Jeremy London put their son in his car to go and have breakfast but his wife Melissa Cunningham objected, insisting the boy did not want to go. After which, a heated argument erupted resulting in Jeremy London pulling Melissa Cunningham’s hair and hitting her on the side of the head.
At the end of these filed docs, Jeremy London was described as having no address and simply “transient.”
What has Mallrats star Jeremy London have to say about all the controversy surrounding his domestic battery charge from estranged wife Melissa Cunningham?
Dominic Friesen, rep of actor Jeremy London released a statement saying, “The allegation for which this charge against Jeremy London is being filed is false and no such abuse occurred. The facts regarding the incident do not warrant this case moving forward and will prove to be a waste of resources by the D.A.’s Office. Jeremy continues to be focused on his work and looks forward to clearing his name of this allegation.”
Friesen also added, “Jeremy London is not homeless and never has been. He lives in Los Angeles and was visiting the Palm Springs area when the incident occurred. This clerical error is reflective of the overall mishandling of this case by both of the Palm Springs Police Department and the DA’s Office.”
Were the docs just exaggerations of what actually happened between Jeremy London and wife Melissa Cunningham? Or there is a grain of truth in there somehow?
