“Hunger Games” star Josh Hutcherson has something to say about the legal drinking age in the U.S – in light of the events of his co-star being booted off a bar because of being underage.
While 19-year-old Josh Hutcherson was leaving STK on Wednesday night, he was asked by the media some questions, paying close attention to the recent issue where his “Hunger Games” co-star Alexander Ludwig was asked to leave The Sayers Club because he is under 21.
Josh Hutcherson claims that the legal drinking age in the United States simply does not make sense, saying, “I think the age to go to war is 18 … so I think the drinking age should be 18 as well.”
The issue was prompted when 19-year-old Alexander Ludwig blew off some steam at The Sayers Club in Hollywood – a club that has a Type 48 license, meaning only patrons aged 21 years old and above can enter the place.
Robbie McKay, Director of Communications for The Sayers Club, said that when security spotted Alexander Ludwig inside the club, he was asked to leave immediately.
