Josh Randall, best known for his stint as Dr. Mike Burton in the NBC sitcom “Ed” and as the recurring guest role of Jake in “Scrubs,” has reportedly filed for divorce from his wife, Claire Rankin.

According to reports, 40-year-old Josh Randall, who played Elliot’s old boyfriend Jake on “Scrubs,” filed the legal docs in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences for the divorce with his soon-to-be-ex-wife, Claire Rankin. Additionally, Josh Randall also listed the official date of separation as May 5, 2011.

The former couple tied the knot back in September of 2000. They have no children together.

Claire Rankin, who is a Canadian actress, has over 40 films and television credits appearing in such shows as “House,” “Monk,” “Without a Trace,” “The District,” “Chicago Hope,” “Ally McBeal” and “The Drew Carey Show.” She also has lead roles in a number of independent films and television movies, including “John Q,” “In Quiet Night,” “A Brother’s Promise,” “A Face to Kill For” and “One of Our Own.”
