Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. faces three charges for drunk driving

Mexican professional boxer Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. – son of the legendary boxer Julio Cesar Chavez – is currently facing misdemeanor charges in California stemming from his late January DUI arrest.
The Los Angeles City Attorney had decided to give three misdemeanor charges to Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., two for drunk driving and one for driving without a valid license. If convicted on all counts, the boxer could face up to a year in the county jail and a $1,000 fine due to his DUI arrest. Chavez is due back in court to face the judge later this month for his misdemeanor charges.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. led a tough career during his first few years since he entered the boxing industry. Chavez started his professional career when he was just 17 years old. His first fight was against Jonathan Hernandez, which he won in a dominant manner by outpointing Jonathan in six rounds, proving his skills and capabilities to the world. Chavez soon signed with Top Rank’s Bob Arum and has been flying high since then.
