Actor and comedian Kelsey Grammer reportedly walked out of CNN’s studios in New York City — just moments before his scheduled interview with Piers Morgan — and the host of the show said that it was all because producers aired an image of Kelsey’s former wife, Camille Grammer, at the start of the show.

According to reports, 47-years-old Piers Morgan took to his Twitter account to explain about the absence of Kelsey Grammer on Wednesday night’s show. He wrote, “Kelsey Grammer was supposed to be on my show now but ran out of the building. Strange.”

Morgan went on, saying, “Kelsey Grammer saw a photo of his ex wife Camille in the open to our show and legged it. Extraordinary. Never had this happen before. I had a very friendly chat with Kelsey backstage. He said he was really looking forward to the interview. Weird.”

Piers Morgan added, “I like Kelsey Grammer personally, but this was a shockingly unprofessional thing to do. I wasn’t even going to mention his ex-wife!”

Kelsey’s rep responded in a statement, saying, “Piers Morgan needs to take responsibility for what he did to Kelsey. It’s called accountability.”

Grammer is most widely known for his two-decade portrayal of psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane on the hit NBC sitcoms “Cheers, Wings, and Frasier.” He has won five Emmy Awards for playing his character on three different sitcoms, and has also worked as a television producer, director, writer, and as a voice artist. Grammer has been married four times and has five children.
