Actor and rapper Kevin Federline has been hit with a lawsuit by his former landlord due to the damages to a mansion he rented — but Federline claims that the damage was caused by flying golf balls, and not him.

According to reports, Joseph Malek, the former landlord of 34-year-old Kevin Federline, has filed a lawsuit against him worth more than $110,000 in damages to the Tarzana, California mansion he rented back in 2008. Malek claims that the actor trashed the place and also stiffed him out of rent money. It is also believed that Malek has photos of the damage.

Meanwhile, Kevin Federline also filed legal docs of his own, claiming that the allegations against him by Joseph Malek are false, saying that the “damages to the home were actually due to normal wear and tear, and other damages were caused by GOLF BALLS hitting the property.”

The actor also claims that he had an oral deal with Joseph Malek back in 2009, where he paid worth $60,000 to cover any missing back-rent and even agreed to let his former landlord keep his entire security deposit for the mansion. The legal docs also stated that Federline said that the 2009 deal “acts as full satisfaction and discharge of these disputes.”

Now, Kevin Federline is seeking recovery of attorney fees, statutory damages and twice the amount of his security deposit.

A judge has yet to rule on the case.
