“Twilight” star Kristen Stewart has publicly shown her remorse over her affair with “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders, but she is reportedly fuming mad that she is taking all the heat — this according to sources directly connected with Stewart.

According to the sources of media outlet TMZ, 22-year-old Kristen Stewart cannot believe that the public is not painting Sanders as the bad guy. The actress reportedly argues that Rupert Sanders is 19 years her senior and was “in a position of power over her” — being the director of a movie she had just shot, and most likely someone she was going to work with again in the future.

Sources added that Kristen Stewart is also very angry that she is being labeled as the big cheater. Although she is aware that she should not have done it because she was in a committed relationship with “Twilight” co-star Robert Pattinson, she still feels that Rupert Sanders is in a totally different and far more culpable situation — because he is married and has two children.

Sources also said that Kristen Stewart is afraid her acting career might be irreparably damaged — something she believes she does not really deserve as a young and single woman who made a mistake.

“Twilight” star Kristen Stewart has issued an apology to her longtime boyfriend, actor Robert Pattinson on Wednesday after she was spotted and photographed embracing and kissing Rupert Sanders, the director of her most recent movie.

According to reports, 22-year-old Kristen Stewart issued a statement to People magazine, saying, “I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”

While a fling between a famous Hollywood star and a director is reportedly not new in showbiz, the affair of Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders gained widespread attention because both of them are high-profiled people.

Rupert Sanders, the 41-year-old director of “Snow White and the Huntsman,” also issued a statement on Wednesday regarding his illicit affair with Kristen Stewart, saying that he was “utterly distraught” over the pain that he caused to his wife and children.

“I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family. My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together,” Sanders said in a statement.

Given their past, the romantic affair of the actress with director Sanders — which was reported with images on celebrity news outlets such as People and Us Weekly — came as a surprise to celebrity watchers and put the three into a publicly awkward situation.

The British director is married to 33-year-old actress and model Liberty Ross , with whom he has two children. Ross even played the role of mother to Kristen Stewart’s Snow White in the “Huntsman” tale.

Most recently, Stewart and Pattinson were together promoting their upcoming final “Twilight” film called “Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” at the Comic Con held in San Diego, California earlier this month.

In June, Universal Pictures announced that they were moving forward with a sequel to “Snow White and the Huntsman,” but did not give any confirmation whether Rupert Sanders will helm the movie. Kristen Stewart is expected to reprise her role, but is not yet confirmed.

Gossip Cop reported that Pattinson attended a party after watching the Los Angeles premiere of the new Katy Perry movie, ‘Part of Me.’ His girlfriend Kristen Stewart was detained by other duties, so Robert had to go solo.

For paparazzi and tabloids, Robert Pattinson attending a party full of pretty ladies by his lonesome was like blood in the water for sharks. “While Bella is away,” X17Online declared, “Edward will play! During the course of the night, X17Online photographed Robert Pattinson –who sported fashionable stubble and a baseball cap- standing next to a blonde woman. X17Online called the woman a “mystery” and seemed to imply that Pattinson romantically was involved with her somehow.

Gossip Cop delved into the supposed “mystery,” though, and reported that the woman is Kimberley Gordon, the Wildfox fashion designer.

In an interview, Miss Gordon debunked claims that Pattinson was seeing her. She also expressed her full support for the relationship between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

“It is absolutely not true,” Kimberley Gordon told Gossip Cop. “I have a wonderful boyfriend,” she pointed out, “And [Pattinson] has beautiful Miss Stewart!”

According to Miss Gordon, “It’s insane how a second in time can be misinterpreted.” She said that “I literally took a sip of water and walked inside,” which X17Online “made it look like we were out there for 10 minutes together.”

Gossip Cop reported that Kimberley Gordon felt like “another pawn in the paparazzi game” that targeted celebrities like Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

‘Twilight’ director Catherine Hardwicke was Team Edward all the way, but she warned actor Robert Pattinson not to date co-star Kristen Stewart during the first movie because Stewart was only 17 at the time.

According to The Hollywood Gossip, the director of the smash movie franchise ’Twilight‘ told Elle Magazine that she immediately noticed the chemistry between the then-potential co-stars during Pattinson’s audition as brooding vampire Edward Cullen.

“Rob and Kristen sat down at the table,” Catherine Hardwicke said, “And did the biology scene. I felt the sparks,” the director shared with Elle. “I could see the attraction.”

According to Hardwicke, “Kristen was very vocal” about Robert Pattinson playing Edward Cullen. “She knew she had the strongest connection with Rob,” the ‘Twilight’ director told Elle.

Hardwicke happened to agree with her movie’s leading lady.”I said,” she recalled telling Kristen Stewart, “‘Let me have a day to see if it translates to the screen.’”
