Linda Evangelista, Salma Hayek hubby finally settle child support case

Supermodel Linda Evangelista has finally reached an accommodation with François-Henri Pinault -the billionaire husband of Salma Hayek- in her quest to get more child support for their love child, Augustin.
Pinault’s rep informed E! News this Monday that he ”can confirm that they seem to have come to an agreement.” Reportedly, they only need the judge handling the child support trial in Manhattan Family Court to officially approve the settlement.
Neither side revealed the terms of the accomodation. E! News presumed that the 49-year-old François-Henri Pinault has agreed to pay more child support to his ex-girlfriend, money which will secure armed ex-NYPD detective bodyguards, a 24/7 nanny, and other expenses Linda Evangelista incurs.
The 46-year-old Linda Evangelista will take the stand again today in Manhattan Family Court to be cross-examined by Pinault’s attorney. Last week, the Canadian beauty denied asking for $46,000, clarifying that she only wanted her former beau to lavish the same kind of child support he gives to Valentina, his 4-year-old daughter with current wife Salma Hayek, upon 5-year-old Augustin.
Outside the court, Pinault’s lawyer informed reporters that the settlement was to the satisfaction of his client. ”Everybody’s glad for the sake and the benefit of the child that it’s done,” David Aronson said.
Linda Evangelista herself did not comment. She is one of many celebrities expected to attend tonight’s Met Costume Institute Gala.
Linda Evangelista heats up fight for child support

Ex-L’Oreal spokesperson Linda Evangelista headed to the Manhattan Family Court in New York City, New York on Friday to ask for more than half a million dollars annual child support from her ex-boyfriend.
Celebrity Gossip spotted the 46-year-old supermodel returning to court wearing a white pencil skirt and a grey-and-white jacket. Evangelista is suing billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault for nearly $50,000 a month in child support for their five-year-old son, Augustin. That amounts to nearly $600K per year.
Linda says that much money is needed to provide for the basic needs of their child. This includes armed ex-NYPD bodyguards and a 24/7 nanny.
Previously, Linda Evangelista had willingly paid for those services with her own money over the years. But her contract with L’Oreal ended last year, which dealt a hit to her estimated $1.8 million-a-year income. She is now demanding child support from her child’s father.
Francois-Henri Pinault is the CEO of PPR and the husband of actress Salma Hayek. He admitted that he barely paid any child support to Linda Evangelista over the years. ”I’m not going to pay money I’m not asked for,” he said.
Linda Evangelista, baby-daddy ready for child support trial

Linda Evangelista and her billionaire French baby-daddy Francois-Henri Pinault are getting ready for a presumably fiery trial at Manhattan Family Court. The New York Post reports that Evangelista, 46, and the 49-year-old Pinault will be going to trial Thursday to set up a final order of child support for their love child, five-year-old Augustus.
Francois-Henri Pinault is the husband of Salma Hayek. He is due to testify Thursday. Linda Evangelista will take the stand the day after. The Post reports that the trial will in all probability be a financial free-for-all.
Last year, the two sides locked horns over a monthly bill of $46,000 that Linda Evangelista wants Pinault to foot. Items of note include $15,000 to $16,000 a month for armed chauffeurs formerly of New York’s finest and a 24-hour nanny who costs almost $7,000 a month.
Evangelista’s lawyer, William Beslow, argues that Augustus deserves a lifestyle comparable to what Pinault lavishes on Valentina, his four-year-old daughter by wife Salma Hayek. Beslow points out that Pinault spends $50,000 a month just on the taxes, upkeep and loan payments for the $12 million Los Angeles home he’s put in trust for Valentina.
William Beslow then mentions that Pinault’s family is worth an estimated $11.5 billion. Francois-Henri Pinault himself earns $5 million a year as the CEO of the Paris-based luxury conglomerate that owns Gucci and Yves St. Laurent.
But Pinault’s side counters that Linda Evangelista is also jockeying for mother support. A Pinault source said that Evangelista has claimed 80 to 90 percent of the chauffeur cost as her own business expense in past tax returns. Evangelista is herself worth an estimated $8 million, with earnings of $1.8 million around 2010.
The Pinault source further mentions that Lina Evangelista complains that Valentina spends time at her grandparents’ lavish French country estate when “Augie should have his own country house.”
That conflicts with the quiet personality of Francois-Henri Pinault. “Pinault drives himself to work in France, and is a pretty low-key guy. He doesn’t want this — doesn’t want his kid’s business to be dragged into court. But they haven’t budged in any way,” the source said of the $46,000-a-month request from Linda Evangelista.
