Nothing can be juicier and more intriguing than a blind news item with a mystery character in it! According to TMZ reports, a ‘mystery actor’ is suing his ex-fiancee Lisa Ragland who broke off their engagement and is now refusing to give back the $90,000 worth engagement ring that the ‘mystery actor’ gave her!

The lawyer of the said ‘mystery actor’ filed the lawsuit under the fictitious name “John Doe.” According to the legal docs filed, the ‘mystery actor’ is suing ex-fiancee Lisa Ragland for the full amount of the engagement ring. Moreover, the ‘mystery actor’ claims Ragland called off their engagement in 2003 and said that she had lost the ring, which the actor believed. But in 2010, the truth came out and Lisa Ragland said she had the ring all along and she has no intention of giving it back! Since under California law, if the engagement is called off, the guy should always be given the ring back. The ring is considered a “gift in contemplation of marriage” so if the marriage does not take place, the ring goes back.

Sources connected to the case said that the “John Doe” mystery actor is not Ian Ziering, although he was also engaged to Lisa Ragland around the same time.
