Marcus Jordan, son of the retired NBA icon Michael Jordan, has been arrested in Omaha on early Sunday due to disorderly conduct outside a downtown hotel.
According to reports, the Central Florida basketball player was seen by an off-duty security officer outside a hotel at 2:10 in the morning. The police responded to a call saying that 21-year-old Marcus Jordan, who appeared intoxicated, was having a heated argument with two women in the driveway of Embassy Suites. Authorities said that Marcus was uncooperative when a police officer approached him, eventually leading to several officers handcuffing him.
The Omaha World-Herald reported that Jordan was booked at the Douglas County Department of Corrections for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, as well as obstruction. He was later released on Sunday night.
Marcus Jordan, the youngest son of retired NBA great Michael Jordan, is a rising senior at Central Florida and averaged 13.7 points a game last season as a junior. Michael Jordan’s oldest son, Jeff, was on the UCF team prior to transferring from Illinois but left for “personal reasons” in January.
