Matt Barkley, a football quarterback for the University of Southern California Trojans, has been involved in a bicycle accident on Saturday night.

According to reports, 21-year-old Matt Barkley, who is considered as the best college quarterback in the country, crashed into a man who was riding his bicycle. A witness at the scene of the bicycle accident claims that the football player was behind the wheels of his Ford Escape and was driving out of a Mobil station near the University of Southern California campus on Saturday night around 8:20 in the evening, when suddenly, he collided into a bicyclist.

The rider of the bicycle was knocked off his bike, and Matt Barkley stopped his vehicle immediately to check on the man.

Sources said that one of the bike pedals was lodged in the bumper of Barkley’s car, but the two men were able to pry the part from the vehicle of the football star.

After some quick conversation, the rider of the bicycle and Matt Barkley decided it was not necessary to call the police at the scene of the bicycle accident. The two men then went their separate ways. The biker reportedly did not appear to suffer from any serious injuries.

Media outlet TMZ tried to call the Barkley family and the University of Southern California for comment about the story, but so far, no response from either.
