Former “Lost” actor Matthew Fox had been engaged in several strange and potentially dangerous incidents last year, which might land him a stint in rehab.
According to reports, the 45-year old actor accepted a plea deal that will allow him to avoid doing prison time for his Oregon drunk driving case — that is if he successfully completes a “court diversion program.” On June 1, Matthew Fox pleaded no contest to one count of driving under the influence, and the actor will be forced to treat his alcohol issue
“He has to go to an evaluator for alcohol [abuse] and complete any recommended treatment program,” Deputy District Attorney Cliff Lu said of the actor.
If it means he would have to go to in-patient rehab, then he has no other choice but to do it, based on the recommendation of the evaluator. That will be the only time when his drunk driving charge will be expunged. If Matthew Fox successfully completes the terms of the diversion program within one year, his drunk driving charge, which might mean jail time, “is certain to be dismissed,” added Lu.
Last summer, the actor was accused of punching Heather Bormann in the crotch, the driver of a party bus. She recently dropped her lawsuit against the Matthew Fox, but the image of the actor was tainted once more when his former co-star Dominic Monaghan said that he beats women often.
