Actress Mayim Bialik has finally returned to work on the “Big Bang Theory” on Thursday — just a day after her brutal car accident in Hollywood — where she nearly lost a finger

Media outlet TMZ spotted Mayim Bialik in Los Angeles early Thursday after her trip to the emergency room. The “Blossom” star was sporting a full hand case on her right hand, and a left forearm wrapped in gauze.

In a Twitter message on Thursday, 36-year-old Bialik said that she was “doing OK. Grateful. And tired.”

Despite the reports from cops saying that the jacket of the actress was completely soaked in blood, Bialik’s publicist gave a prepared statement on Wednesday, saying — “Mayim Bialik was in a minor car accident today … She is doing fine and will be returning to work tomorrow.”

The actress’ spokeswoman added that Bialik is grateful for the support from her fans.

“She thanks everyone for their concern,” the statement said.

As previous reports have stated, Mayim Bialik, the former star of NBC’s show “Blossom,” was brought to the hospital following a car accident shortly before noon Wednesday. The accident caused both of Bialik’s car’s main airbags to deploy and leave her with “severe lacerations to her left hand and thumb,” Los Angeles Police Lt. Andrew Neiman said.

The actress was driving through Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea Avenue when her Volvo collided with a vehicle filled with tourists that was turning west on Hollywood Boulevard, Neiman added.

Mayim Bialik was driving alone at the time of the car accident, Neiman said. The other car was carrying a group of people from Chile.

According to reports, Mayim Bialik — who is also known as Amy Farrah Fowler in CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory” — was brought to the Cedar Sinai Hospital after a car crash left her with a badly injured left hand. The car crash happened on the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea around noon on Wednesday. Bialik was traveling alone on her way to a family lunch for her youngest son’s birthday. She was behind the wheel of her white Volvo when suddenly, she collided with another vehicle filled with tourists from Chile at the intersection. The vehicle with the Chile tourists were neither cited nor detained.

Emergency responders then rushed to the scene of the car crash. According to a source, there was “tons and tons of blood everywhere.” Sources also added that 36-year-old Mayim Bialik suffered major damage to her left hand that at first, the actress seemed that she might lose a finger. “Her finger was almost completely severed … it was just hanging there,” claims the source.

Luckily, the “Big Bang” actress will not be losing her finger after all. While her severely injured left hand  will not be fully functional in the meantime, she will be fine, according to another source. At present, Bialik’s attending doctors are just making sure her finger is not broken.

Mayim Bialik dictated a tweet to her husband assuring her Twitter followers that she will keep all of her fingers:

“@missmayim (husband typing) In pain but will keep all my fingers. If u wanna See pre accident me watch The Soup tonight lol #joelmchale @TheSoup”

According to Deadline Hollywood, Mayim Bialik will return to work Thursday.

Before her car crash, the actress had just finished a table reading for “The Big Bang Theory.”
