Melanie Lynskey files for divorce from husband Jimmi Simpson
“Two and a Half Men” star Melanie Lynskey — who plays the role of neighbor Rose on the show — has filed for divorce from her actor husband Jimmi Simpson.
According to reports, 35-year-old Melanie Lynskey filed the docs on September 25 in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.The divorce docs stated that both Melanie and Jimmi have waived their rights to spousal support.
Melanie Lynskey and husband Jimmi Simpson, who is a star on the show “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” got married back in 2007, but have no children together.
Jimmi Simpson appeared on the big screen earlier this year in the movie “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter,” and has roles in the upcoming film “Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes,” as well as “Knights of Badassdom.” Meanwhile, Melanie Lynskey is currently starring in “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” and appeared as Karen alongside Steve Carell and Keira Knightley in “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.”
Lynskey made her big screen debut at the age of 16 alongside Kate Winslet in Peter Jackson’s “Heavenly Creatures.”
