Mike Sorrentino of “Jersey Shore” drops lawsuit against former manager
Mike Sorrentino, also known as “The Situation” from reality TV series “Jersey Shore” has dismissed the $1,000,000 lawsuit against his former manager after both parties struck a deal outside the courtroom.
Previous reports stated that 30-year-old Mike Sorrentino was sued by his former management company — Gotham NYC Entertainment — claiming that they were wrongfully fired by the reality star. The company also claimed that they took The Situation when he was a “relative obscurity. Then, Sorrentino breached their contract when he suddenly dropped the management company once he became an “international celebrity.” The company was seeking millions in damages at the time.
A while later, Mike Sorrentino filed his own countersuit against Gotham NYC Entertainment, claiming that the management company did squat for him as his manager, but that they failed to properly advise his career and did not give him adequate services and support. Sorrentino also claims that Gotham NYC never returned phone calls in a timely manner.
But according to new court documents, both parties came to an agreement last month and decided to drop both lawsuits. They also agreed to pay their own legal fees.
