Nadya Suleman asking fans to donate money to her
Octomom Nadya Suleman is reportedly asking her fans to help her get $150,000 so she can give a down payment for her new place — the La Habra house.
According to reports, 37-year-old Nadya Suleman was having a difficult time making amends to pay her mortgage on her La Habra House, which was foreclosed last month. Sources close to Octomom claim that she has been given two weeks to move out of the house, but the problem is she does not have enough cash to purchase a house of her own, especially one where her 14 children will fit.
Reports said that Nadya Suleman decided to host money-generating ventures — one of which is to set up a page on a website called GoFundMe.com — where her fans can send money to her through Internet. She allegedly asks for $150,000 to get started.
Nadya Suleman came to international attention when she gave birth to octuplets in January 2009. The Suleman octuplets are the only second full set of octuplets to be born alive in the United States. One week after they were born, the 14 babies surpassed the previous worldwide survival rate for a complete set of octuplets set by the Chukwu octuplets in 1998. The circumstances of their high order multiple birth have led to controversy in the field of assisted reproductive technology, as well as an investigation by the Medical Board of California of the fertility specialist involved.
