Nicole Scherzinger, Chris Brown allegedly gets close at L.A club
Former Pussycat Dolls member Nicole Scherzinger and R&B singer Chris Brown reportedly got too close and personal at a Los Angeles nightclub on Tuesday night — but Nicole denies claims that the two of them were making out, saying they were simply talking.
According to reports, there have been photos making rounds in the Internet showing 34-year-old Nicole Scherzinger leaning close to Chris Brown, as he presumably tries to shout in her ear due to the loud music of the nightclub.
In one photo, 23-year-old Chris Brown looks like he is closing in on the personal space of the “Stick Wit U” singer as she throws her head back and smiles.
Media outlet X17online.com initially reported that the two singers were kissing on the dance floor, citing an eyewitness who said Chris Brown and Nicole Scherzinger were definitely doing more than just talk.
“They were dancing close for a while and being all touchy-feely and finally Chris leaned into her,” the source told X17online.com. “She put her head on his shoulder and they started kissing! I couldn’t believe Chris was being so obvious about it!”
However, reps for both musicians are denying the romantic affiliation, with a spokesperson for Nicole Scherzinger, a judge on “X Factor U.K.,” calling them “old friends.”
“I guarantee there will be no photos of them kissing,” a rep for Nicole Scherzinger said in a statement.
Brown’s camp similarly denied the reports as soon as they emerged.
“They were not kissing,” a rep for Chris Brown said. “They are friends, have been for years and were talking at a club that had loud music playing.”
Chris Brown was also embroiled in a controversy earlier this month when he and ex-girlfriend Rihanna reportedly kissed following her win for Video of the Year for song “We Found Love,” adding to the rumors that the two are back on.
Rihanna and Chris Brown have had a rocky relationship following a heated argument back in February 2009 that ended with Rihanna beat black and blue and Brown convicted on felony charges.
The R&B singer has most recently been linked to model Karrueche Tran, though the two reportedly split earlier this summer.
Meanwhile, Nicole Scherzinger is still together with Formula 1 racer Lewis Hamilton.
Late last year, the couple decided to part ways due to strains brought about by a long-distance relationship, but then reconciled earlier this year.
“I still think Lewis is one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever seen in my life. He’s perfect-looking,” Nicole Scherzinger told Look magazine during the break in their relationship. “But I don’t base any relationship on looks, it comes from the heart and soul first.
“If you really love someone, you fall in love with their looks,” she concluded.
Chris Brown and Nicole Scherzinger were at the Supperclub on Tuesday night to help support the Black Pyramid Party alongside fellow big names Will.i.am and singer Sean Kingston.
