Niecy Nash: “My brother’s murderer killed again”
The man who shot and killed the brother of comedian and actress Niecy Nash 19 years ago has allegedly killed someone again — this time, murdering his wife. Nash says she is absolutely horrified that another family has been ruined by this “heinous” killer.
According to reports, Robert Lee Heard was arrested on Saturday in Shreveport, Los Angeles, after he allegedly stabbed and killed his 35-year-old wife, Demetra Doyle Heard.
Back in 1993, 16-year-old Robert Lee Heard was convicted of shooting and killing Michael Ensley — the brother of Niecy Nash — at a Reseda, California, high school. Heard was committed to a juvenile corrections facility until 2002.
Then, in 2003, he was convicted of attempted first-degree murder and sent to jail, but was released just last year. Until this weekend, when the police found his wife stabbed to death.
Niecy Nash told media outlet TMZ, “No family should have to endure the loss of a loved one at the hands of a previously convicted violent criminal.”
The comedian added,”I am deeply saddened to hear that the man who murdered my brother, Michael Ensley, has been charged with murder again.”
Niecy Nash went on, saying “I grieve for every family who has been victimized by this heinous individual. My prayers and love go out to the family of Demetra Doyle Heard during this trying time.”
