A raving lynch mob of One Direction fans forced Lucy Horobin -the married radio DJ who had a brief fling with 1D heartthrob Harry Styles- to delete her Twitter account.

Perez Hilton reported earlier this week that Styles, 18, cultivated an affair with the married 32-year-old Horobin last year. Harry was only 17 at the time and Horobin was going through troubles in her recent marriage.

As anyone familiar with the behavior of One Directioners can guess, poor Lucy Horobin reaped a whirlwind of hateful tweets from angry fans of Harry Styles. Horobin’s Twitter account got flooded by messages that branded her a “pedophile” and a “rapist” despite Harry being the one who initiated the romance.

Earlier, rabid fans similarly drove Little Mix member Perrie Edwards from Twitter. Edwards used to date Zayn Malik, another member of One Direction.

Harry Styles could have saved Lance Bass so much breathe if the One Direction member had told the former ‘NSYNC member that the $200K Ferrari he drove around Hollywood was a rental car.

TMZ earlier came across Styles, 18, behind the wheels of a sleek black Ferrari. Later that day, the webloid found Bass driving a much humbler ride out of Katsuya in L.A. last night.

Boy band veteran Lance Bass wasn’t pleased to hear that Harry Styles had apparently splurged so much money on “stupid things” like a Ferrari. ”It’s a terrible investment at this stage,” the ‘NSYNC member declared.

“Save your money,” Bass urged Styles and the rest of One Direction. “Save your money!” He then went out of his way to provide a financial plan for the Brit boys.

TMZ reported, however, that Lance Bass could have saved himself trouble. Harry Styles claimed that he didn’t buy the Ferrari; he just rented it.

Styles’ rep informed TMZ that the One Direction member was “a whiz with his money.” Renting the Ferrari for a few hours was a rare treat for Harry, and it only cost him a few hundred dollars.

Discovered by Simon Cowell on ‘X Factor UK,’ One Direction started out in 2011. Harry Styles and his band mates have only released one album so far, but they have proven to be massively popular on both sides of the Atlantic.

One Direction member Niall Horan and ‘X Factor’ judge Demi Lovato are reportedly “besotted” with each other- and Simon Cowell was playing Cupid for them.

Perez Hilton earlier mentioned how the 18-year-old Brit boy band mate was supposedly wooing the 19-year-old ‘Give Your Heart A Break’ singer for quite some time now. The two reportedly even chat on Skype on occasion.

And now Niall Horan had become “very keen” on courting Demi Lovato. Supposedly, Horan sends text messages to Lovato every day.

“Niall is besotted,” said a One Direction source. “He’s very keen,” the source said of Horan, who has “been sending her flowers.”

According to Perez Hilton, Demi Lovato returned Niall’s feelings. “She can’t wait to get to know him properly,” claimed the same 1D source. And supposedly Demi’s chance will come “when he’s finished with the One Direction tour at the beginning of July.”

And if the supposed romance between Niall Horan and Lovato wasn’t cute enough, then the idea of Simon Cowell –whom Demi considers a “grandpa” and who in turn called her “annoying”- playing matchmaker should do the trick.

“Demi’s being spurred on by Simon,” claimed a source, “Who finds the whole thing very amusing.”

According to Perez Hilton, the source also noted that it was a good business decision on the part of Simon Cowell. Cowell reportedly adored the publicity generated for his brain children One Direction and ‘X Factor.’ ”It’s a win-win,” said the source of the romance between Niall Horan and Demi Lovato.

If Demi Lovato and Niall Horan do hook up, Perez Hilton already had two cute portmanteau names for the One Direction member and the ex-Disney star: Diall and DeNiall.

One Direction UK -the massively popular Brit boy band- finally fought back against One Direction -the American group- by filing a lawsuit of their own.

According to E! News, the virtually unknown American boy band earlier sued its more famous British counterpart. The American 1D claimed that Harry Styles and his band mates allegedly stole the 1D name.

Now the Simon Cowell-sponsored One Direction UK have decided to fight back. Their lawyers had countersued the American singers for the exact same charges.

E! News obtained copies of the lawsuit filed by One Direction UK. According to their legal paperwork, the British quintet have “continuously and consistently been utilizing the ONE DIRECTION Mark” since Harry Styles and friends publicly debuted on the popular British television program ‘X Factor’ two years ago.

Earlier, the American One Direction -who just happened to also be a group of five guys- served up a lawsuit in the spring. The American 1D claimed to have gone by that name since 2009, a year before Harry Styles and his fellow Brit hotties came together.

According to the Daily Mail, the Americans filed a lawsuit that asked the One Direction UK to change their band name. The Americans had already filed a trademark application for the name.

The US One Direction also demanded that Sony Music and Cowell’s record label pay them $1 million in damages.

However, One Direction UK claimed that the Americans’ lawsuit is rubbish. The British boy band’s lawyers stated that Harry Styles and company enjoyed “unprecedented success and fame in the United States.” 1D UK was the first U.K. musical act whose debut album entered the U.S. Billboard chart at No.1.

According to E! News, the drama stirred up by the Americans reputedly injured the reputation of the Brit 1D. The Brits’ countersuit stated that the Americans are guilty of fraud, oppression or malice. So Harry Styles and company were entitled to recover punitive damages in addition to actual damages.

The American One Direction had not yet responded to E! News’ queries regarding the countersuit of One Direction UK.

Did One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles romance a married -repeat- married- DJ twice his age when he was but 17?

Perez Hilton raised the possibility that Styles came this close to being homewrecker during a reported May-December romance with 32-year-old Lucy Horobin. Horobin was married when Styles openly flirted with her during their first meeting on-air last August.

A source claimed that Harry Styles was known for drawing some of the most beautiful women in showbiz. (Caroline Flack comes to mind.) Harry reportedly “couldn’t resist Lucy’s beautiful looks,” said the source. The One Direction member also supposedly found her “­really witty and very sexy.”

The Perez Hilton source added that Lucy Horobin was having problems with her new husband during that time. “After only a year of marriage,” the source said, “She had doubts over ­whether she had done the right thing.” So Horobin requested a brief break in their marriage. She and her husband were “virtually ­leading separate lives” when she first met Styles.

Harry Styles “just happened to be in the right place at the right time,” claimed the source. He supposedly charmed his way into Horobin’s life by bringing “a little bit of excitement” into her days.

However, when things fizzled out with the One Direction member, Lucy Horobin felt that she had made a stupid mistake. “She wanted to make a real go of her ­marriage,” said the source, “And decided the only way to do that was to confess about Harry.”

Horobin was also terrified of admitting her affair with Harry Styles. “She knew he would hate it,” the source said, and added that Lucy “knew it was the only way of moving forward.

The Perez Hilton source claimed that Lucy Horobin and her husband were working their way through their troubles despite Lucy’s affair with One Direction member Harry Styles. “[They] are glad they have ­decided to stay together,” the source said.

“She knows she shouldn’t admit it,” a friend of Horobin added, “But [Lucy Horobin] said the sex [with Harry Styles] was amazing. He knew exactly what he was doing despite the fact he was only 17.”

Horobin’s friend described the One Direction member to be “adorable” and claimed that “Lucy had a lot of fun.” But the friend also said that Horobin’s relationship with Harry Styles “was never going to be anything serious” and in fact “a mistake.”

According to this insider, Lucy Horobin “loves her husband and wants to be with him. Horobin was “a great girl,” but like most any other girl, she “got caught up in the moment with Harry” due to “a few ­difficulties in her marriage and it just happened.”

Harry Styles is currently single and touring the US with the rest of his One Direction band mates.

The boys of One Direction boys didn’t get to booze and gamble in Sin City last week because they got banned from every casino in Las Vegas for being underage.

Perez Hilton reported that the super popular boy band held a show at the Planet Hollywood Theater in Las Vegas last week. And after they worked hard, Harry Styles and the rest of One Direction also wanted to play hard the way they did elsewhere during their world tour.

“The boys were hoping to go wild in Vegas,” a Perez Hilton source reported, “By boozing and gambling into the early hours.”

Unfortunately for the members of One Direction, the legal age for drinking and gambling in the U.S., including Las Vegas, is 21. Harry Styles, Liam Payne, and Niall Horan are 18. Zayn Malik is 19. Louis Tomlinson, the oldest, was shy by one year, being 20.

“Security at every casino in town knew who the lads were,” the Perez Hilton source said, “And threw them out.”

Ah, the price of fame…

The source added that One Direction went back to their Palms hotel suite, a far less dangerous and much less exciting place. The Las Vegas hotel possessed a mere basketball half court, a boring hot tub, and went for $25,000 per night, just $3000 more than the cell phone bill Harry Styles and his buddies amassed during their tour.

According to a former classmate of Harry Styles, the One Direction band member’s relationship with former girlfriend Caroline Flack was “more of a physical relationship than anything else.”

Metro reported that Style’s former classmate Will Sweeney was interviewed by US magazine The People. Sweeney was asked how the 17-year-old Styles regarded his relationship with ‘Xtra Factor’ host Flack, who was 14 years older than the teen idol.

“I remember asking Harry about Caroline,” Sweeney told The People, “And he laughed.” According to Will Sweeney, Harry Styles said that what he had with Caroline Flack “was more of a physical relationship than ­anything else.”

Sweeney continued that “All his mates think he’s a bit of a legend” for bagging Flack, and that his relationship with the older woman was “classic Styles,” pun intended.

“He definitely enjoys the attention,” Will Sweeney opined of Harry Styles, “And he’s making the most of it.”

Harry Styles and Caroline Flack received a lot of criticism during their brief fling. Female fans of One Direction, in particular, fancied at crack at Harry themselves and resented the older Flack bagging him.

Metro reported that the resentment became public when One Direction performed at the Hammersmith Apollo in London early this year. One Directioners subjected Flack to a stream of abuse and boos. One trader took advantage of the fans’ anger by selling a batch of whistles that could could be use to show their anger. The crowd also unfurled a large banner reading ‘Flack off, Caroline.’

And then there was the abuse on Twitter, where Caroline’s account was flooded with death threats from crazed One Direction fans. After a report that she and Harry Styles had supposedly split, Caroline Flack posted one particularly threatening tweet. “You Broke harrys heart,” read the somewhat mispelled tweet. “now we will broke your face…”

According to Metro, Caroline Flack finally broke up with Harry Styles for real after the One Direction heartthrob said he was “single” in an interview with Real Radio.

Twitter suspended a huge number of accounts belonging to fans of Brit boy band One Direction for alleged spamming.

Gossip Cop reported that the social media platform apparently froze tens of thousands of accounts owned by ardent 1D supporters this Thursday. So far, it’s unclear just how many accounts got suspended.

Twitter performed this mass suspension in response to a recent flood of tweets that used hashtags referring to a One Direction DVD “watch party.” Twitter reportedly considered the said tweets to be “spam” violations.

Gossip Cop had yet to hear back from Twitter for an official stance on the mass account suspension.

1D fans reacted by trending the topic “Twitter Unsuspend Directioners.” It should be remembered that Twitter infamously banned ‘Justin Bieber‘ as a trending topic during the singer’s explosive ascension to superstar status.

One Direction had earlier been scolded for reportedly amassing cell phone bills in excess of $22,000 because of their constant use of Twitter to stay in touch with their fans.

The rest of One Direction will have a field day with “Knock, knock” jokes featuring member Louis Tomlinson and his naked morning visitor.

(And no, One Direction fans, it wasn’t a girl. It was a “small naked man” who was drunk.)

According to Perez Hilton, an unidentified man allegedly appeared at the door of the hotel room of Louis Tomlinson at around 5:00 AM in the morning. The man was supposedly drunk, naked, and looking for a bathroom.

“Louis heard the noise because he wasn’t sleeping well with jet-lag,” a friend of his related, “And at first he thought it would be another fan who had sneaked past minders.”

Despite being groggy -and probably used to this sort of attention from ardent One Direction fans-, Louis Tomlinson retained the good sense to peer through the peephole first. The sight allegedly woke him up, and not in a good way.

“When he saw it was a small naked man,” Tomlinson’s friend said, “He called security, who sorted it out.”

Louis Tomlinson and the rest of One Direction are currently touring the United States. The hugely popular Brit boy band was recently mobbed by “ridic” (Brit slang for “ridiculously”) overenthusiastic fans who grabbed at their hair and clothes. They also spoke of their American fans’ tendency to throw underwear on the stage during their performances.

The boys of One Direction can’t catch a break even on a day off, as a horde of overenthusiastic New York fans “mauled” them.

According to Metro, the Brit boy band were in New York City to publicize the release of their first album, ‘Up All Night.’ They got way more attention than they expected- and it was during one of the rare days when the boys were taking a break.

Website Press Party reported that a veritable horde of New York fans swarmed Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson. The frenzied mob grabbed at the Brit boys’ hair and clothes while the shaken One Direction members attempted to escape into waiting cars.

Member Niall Horan quickly took to Twitter to bemoan to his followers about, well, another, wilder group of his followers. ‘This is a complete joke,” he complained. “Ridic [Ridiculous], Day off,” he pointed out, and whined that he “wana chill.’

Bandmate Liam Payne also joined in. “‘That wasn’t even funny,” he agreed about their encounter with their New York fans.

Oddly enough, the lads of One Direction previously revealed to Metro that American fans like to toss bras at them during their performances, making their confusion about the New York incident seem odd.

Quizzed about their opinions of their admirers this side of the pond, 18-year-old Harry Styles was quick to respond. ”I can answer that,” he piped up. “I will say that American girls are hot!”

The rest of One Direction similarly recalled receiving “tons” of underwear from delighted fans who threw the said items onto the stage.

Perhaps too much of a good thing is truly bad. Whatever the case, One Direction will probably be more prepared to handle their American admirers -be they New York fans or otherwise- the next time around.
