“The Artist” star Penelope Ann Miller, who played the role of Doris Valentin, has filed for legal separation from her husband James Huggins.
The 48-year-old actress has decided to put an end to her marriage to her husband, James Huggins, of eleven years. According to reports, Miller filed the documents at a Los Angeles courthouse last week. The former couple has two children.
Penelope Ann Miller gave birth to 11-year-old Eloisa less than seven months after their wedding in May. Her second child, Maria Adela, will turn three years old on Friday.
This separation from James Huggins is the actress’ second divorce – she was briefly married to comedian Will Arnett from 1994-1995.
Penelope Ann Miller has been starring in films since 1987′s “Adventures in Babysitting.” Her latest role of note was a part in the Oscar-winning film, “The Artist.” Miller played Doris Valentin, the wife of protagonist George Valentin, played by Jean Dujardin. The actress will next play Mary Todd Lincoln in the 2012 film “Saving Lincoln.”
