The convenience store’s video surveillance system which allegedly shows a drunk and naked Randy Travis buying cigarettes before he crashed his vehicle last week is now in the hands of the police.
According to reports, the manager of Tiger Mart in Sherman, Texas said that police officers came in to the establishment on Friday carrying a warrant and left with the store’s entire video surveillance system, which contains the video of country music singer Randy Travis.
The manager of Tiger Mart said that the police took the whole system because nobody could figure out how to remove just the tape.
As previous reports have stated, Randy Travis was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after he crashed his vehicle last Tuesday. Police officers said that when they arrived at the scene of the car crash, 53-year-old Travis was totally naked. He was also given a felony charge after cops alleged that the singer threatened to shoot and kill the officers involved in his arrest.
Reports also said that Randy Travis took some time while he was at the county jail to talk to some of his fans and even pose for a picture.
“I was hysterical — I was so excited, telling everybody, ‘I just saw Randy Travis,’ but they didn’t believe me until they saw it on the news,” NBC News heard from fan Cassie Kearns, who had been visiting another prisoner at the jail when Travis took his leave Wednesday after posting $21,500 cash bail.
“[Travis] was still, I think, in shock. He told us briefly that he was drinking and driving and naked on the side of the highway,” added Cassie.
Kearns and her mother-in-law, Brenda Fontenot, said they gave the singer the Texas Longhorns cap he was photographed in when he left prison, clad in scrubs he’d been given by the police. Fontenot said that Randy Travis looked ashamed and upset because of the incident.
Calls to the Sherman Texas Department of Public Safety — which is in charge in the investigation of Randy’s DWI — were not returned.

Country music singer Randy Travis was not wearing a Texas Longhorns hat during his naked arrest — it was reportedly a gift from a local attorney who went to the jail the moment he hear that the singer was in trouble with the law.
According to reports, just moments after word got out about the arrest of 53-year-old Randy Travis, a lot of locals rushed to the jail to help him out, with one man posting Travis’ cash bond and another one offering legal services right away.
The said lawyer was Gary Corley, who told media outlet TMZ the area around Sherman, Texas is a close-knit community where people take care of one another, and that he wanted to “do the humanitarian thing by helping Randy Travis out.
When attorney Corley arrived at the jail where the country singer was staying at the time, he briefly met with Randy, offered his services and told him about the group of photographers waiting outside the jail to take photos of the singer. Corley also added that he was wearing his Texas hat at that time, but then decided to give it to Randy Travis, thinking that he probably needed it more than him. He then gave him the cap right off his head so that the singer may be able to cover his face from the media photographers on his way out of jail.
Gary Corley also had a car waiting for Randy Travis just in case he wanted or needed a ride, but the man who posted the cash bond of the singer had already arranged for transportation.
As of the moment, Travis has not officially hired an attorney for his case, but Gary Corley said he will be there if the singer needs him.
Randy Travis officially charged with DWI in Texas

Country music singer and actor Randy Travis has been charged for driving under the influence of alcohol and threatening law officers on Tuesday.
According to reports, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office received an emergency call just before midnight on Tuesday about a man who was seen lying in a road west of Tioga, where 53-year-old Randy Travis lives. When the police arrived at the scene, they found that the country singer has crashed his car, was naked and combative at the scene of the accident. He was then subsequently arrested by the authorities. This was Travis’ second arrest this year, who was also cited back in February for public intoxication.
Tom Vinger, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety said that a car registered to Randy Travis drove off the road. DPS added that the car had struck many barricades in a construction zone.
Vinger also said that Travis made threats against the troopers of Texas Highway patrol and was naked at the time of his arrest. The country singer also refused to undergo sobriety tests, so a blood specimen was taken from him.
Sheriff’s Sgt. Rickey Wheeler said Randy Travis is facing charges of retaliation or obstruction, aside from driving under the influence of alcohol.
A statement from the sheriff’s office said, “Travis had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath and several signs of intoxication. While Travis was being transported, Travis made threats to shoot and kill the troopers working the case.”
A photograph released by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office shows Travis, battered-looking and donning a T-shirt, with a black eye and dried blood on his face. A while later, he was released from prison wearing scrubs, a University of Texas ball cap and no shoes — after paying $21,500 bond.
A representative for Randy Travis said there would be no immediate comment on his recent arrest.
Back in February, the singer-actor was charged with public intoxication after he was seen in a car parked in front of a church near his home.
Travis has also been involved in messy court battles with his former wife. Travis was divorced from Elizabeth Travis back in 2010 after the couple have been married for 19 years.
Earlier this year, Elizabeth Travis, who had been Randy’s manager for more than three decades, filed a lawsuit claiming that the country singer made it impossible for her to do her job and even terminated her management contract without proper notice. Elizabeth said her ex-husband sent a lot of men, including an armed guard, to clean out her offices.
Randy Travis filed a counter lawsuit against his former wife in May, accusing Elizabeth of disclosing confidential information about him as an attempt to damage his career and reputation. The court documents did not state what information Elizabeth Travis is alleged to have betrayed.

Country music singer and actor Randy Travis has been sued by his ex-wife and former talent manager, Elizabeth Travis.
According reports, Elizabeth Travis claims that Randy Travis terminated their business agreement without a written warning. However, the country singer said in a statement that the lawsuit filed last week by his ex-wife won’t stand up in court.
“It is unfortunate that it’s come to this,” Travis said. “We believe the lawsuit lacks merit and that we have legal defenses to her claims.”
The 52-year-old country music star doesn’t address Elizabeth Travis’ claim that last August he hired an armed guard and several men to strip her office of records and memorabilia related to his career.
The lawsuit claims Randy Travis’ employees took computers with working files, business records and even the record plaques from the walls from Elizabeth Travis’ three-story Music Row office. Elizabeth added that her ex-husband also made it impossible for her to do her job and terminated their management agreement without written warning. Now, Elizabeth Travis is asking for damages, attorney fees, litigation costs and other damages the court feels appropriate.
The former couple divorced in 2010 after 19 years of marriage. Elizabeth Travis had served as the manager of Randy Travis for more than three decades.
The lawsuit comes after the arrest of Randy Travis in February for public intoxication following a Super Bowl party in Sanger, Texas.

American country music singer Randy Travis was arrested by the police on an early Monday morning in front of a church for charges of public intoxication. Randy Travis’ reason for his reported public intoxication? A fight with his girlfriend.
The 52-year-old singer was arrested by a police officer and took him to jail at 1:30 in the morning, says Tom Reedy, a Denton County Sheriff’s Office spokesman. Tom Reedy added that the authorities got a call about a suspicious vehicle parked just outside a Baptist church. Randy Travis was then found inside his car with an open bottle of wine and reeking with the smell of booze.
According to the police officer who apprehended Randy Travis, the singer attempted to explain the cause of his public intoxication, and it was because he just had a fight with his girlfriend. However, “Mr. Travis’ speech was slurred and I was beginning to have a hard time understanding what he was saying,” added the police officer.
Randy Travis was asked to go out of his vehicle and as he was doing so, made an awkward stumbling exit from the car. That was when the police officer hooked him up and told him he was under arrest for public intoxication. The cops say they got rid of the rest of the booze and towed Randy Travis’ vehicle from the scene before they accompanied him to the county jail.
Randy Travis was then brought to the county jail and held for four hours for public intoxication, Tom Reedy told CBSNews.com. Randy Travis released a statement on Monday to the Associated Press, saying, “I apologize for what resulted following an evening of celebrating the Super Bowl. I’m committed to being responsible and accountable, and apologize for my actions.”
Randy Travis is on the road this month and is next scheduled to do a performance on Friday at the Grand Ronde, Ore.
