Ray J returns to hotel where Whitney Houston died
August 2nd, 2012 by faye
For the first time since the sudden demise of diva Whitney Houston, her ex-boyfriend Ray J has returned to the hotel where she died back in February.
According to reports, 31-year-old Ray J — who was one of the first people to arrive at the Beverly Hilton Hotel when Whitney Houston was found dead in her bathtub — had refused to go back to the hotel for months, saying that it was “too hard” for him to return to the scene. However, Ray J had to go to the hotel today and overcome his fears because he had to do a scheduled media event for his new TV project, “The Rickey Smiley Show” — an event that he cannot afford to miss.
Sources close to the singer-songwriter claim that he was overcome with so much emotion when he arrived at Beverly Hilton Hotel, telling his friends, “it hurts inside” that he has to relive his most painful memory. The singer also said that it was “very weird” walking the halls once again.
But still, Ray J told his friends that Whitney Houston wanted him to do great and would be proud of him.
Ray J and Whitney are said to have dated for the last several years leading up until the time of her sudden death.
The singer, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr., is well known for launching the career of celebrity socialite Kim Kardashian by co-starring in a sex tape with the now famous reality star.
Ray and Kim Kardashian dated back in 2003, and in 2007 a racy video that the former couple made was leaked.
Ray is also known as a first cousin of the rapper Snoop Dogg, and a brother of singer Brandy.
The singer recorded “Another Day in Paradise” with his sister, Brandy, which was a Top Ten success in Austria, Belgium, Germany, United Kingdom, Norway, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands and number 11 in Australia and France. The song was the lead single of the R&B/Hip Hop tribute “Urban Renewal,” in which he co-produced and performed songs. Ray J also worked with Lil’ Kim, The Neptunes, Rodney Jerkins andmany other producers and singers for his second studio album “This Ain’t A Game.” The album was released in 2001. The lead single “Wait A Minute” peaked at #30 on the U.S. Hot 100 chart and #8 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. “Formal Invite” followed at #54 on the R&B chart.
Kris Humphries attorneys ask Reggie Bush for dirt on Kim Kardashian
June 26th, 2012 by edsel
Faced with a legal alliance between his estranged wife Kim Kardashian and his recent ex-girlfriend Myla Sinanaj, Kris Humphries reportedly intended to dredge some dirt on Kim by calling on her former boyfriends like Reggie Bush and Ray J.
According to The Hollywood Gossip, insiders informed Radar Online that Humphries and his attorneys were “gathering information” from Kim’s ex-lovers. Topping the list was Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush, who dated Kim Kardashian twice over the span of three years.
The THG insiders opined that Humphries’ legal team was reportedly considering the option to subpoena Reggie Bush and others. Kris Humphries was on the lookout for proof that Kim Kardashian was insincere in her relationships and always seeking fame and fortune above romance. Such proof would bolster his chances at milking $7 million dollars out of his wife in their ongoing divorce.
The Hollywood Gossip reported that Humphries was taking a leaf out of the book of Kim’s lawyer. Myla Sinanaj had already received a subpoena to appear in court and share what she could of her five-month relationship with Humphries. That included her e-mail and text message histories with Kris Humphries.
Earlier, Humphries’ attorneys alleged to the FBI that she was trying to extort money from Kris Humphries. Another attorney of Humphries called the hotel Sinanaj worked at and alleged that Myla ran a personal brothel there.
The Hollywood Gossip further reported that Kris Humphries also told Myla Sinanaj in a text message that Kris Jenner was responsible for the Kim Kardashian sex tape with Ray J. He claimed that the sex tape proved that the Kardashians plotted and schemed in every circumstance. According to Humphries, Kim and her family allegedly manipulated situations and feelings -including those of Humphries himself- to fit their marketing agenda.
Speaking of Ray J, The Hollywood Gossip half-humorously suggested that he was next in line for a subpoena from Kris Humphries. Ray dated Kim Kardashian before Reggie Bush. His sex tape with Kim also made the latter famous. In addition, Ray J was also romantically linked with Whitney Houston.
Kris Humphries: Kris Jenner staged Kim Kardashian sex tape
June 25th, 2012 by edsel
According to text messages that Kris Humphries sent from his phone, Kris Jenner came up with the idea of making the infamous Kim Kardashian sex tape.
Perez Hilton reported that Humphries’ ex-girlfriend Myla Sinanaj was helpfully turning over her text history to Kim’s lawyer as part of the subpoena. And one of the topics Humphries liked to discuss was Kim’s 2003 sex tape with Ray-J, which made her famous in the first place.
Kris Humphries not only alleged that Kris Jenner ordered Kim Kardashian to make the sex tape with Ray-J. He also claimed that Jenner instructed Kim to re-shoot it because the first try was not “pretty enough” for the momager.
Kardashian Klan sources deny the allegations made by Kris Humphries. According to them, Kim Kardashian made it a point not to discuss her sex tape with Humphries during their brief marriage because she did not want to be judged by it.
“That is just disgusting and disturbing,” said Khloe Kardashian to TMZ, “And probably his fantasy!”
According to Perez Hilton, things were improving for Kim Kardashian in the upcoming divorce deposition. Kris Humphries claimed emotional damage over fraud in order to get $7 million out of Kim during their ongoing divorce. But Humphries’ text history with Myla Sinanaj painted a different picture of the supposedly heartbroken NBA player.
Humphries sent text messages to Myla Sinanaj that claimed she was the love of his life. In those messages, Humphries supposedly couldn’t wait to finish his divorce with Kardashian with so that he could spend the rest of his life with Sinanaj.
Shortly after Kim Kardashian divorced him, Kris Humphries dated Myla Sinanaj for 5 months. Meanwhile, Kim is currently dating Kanye West.
Ray J finds lost designer clothes thanks to Whitney Houston associates
June 1st, 2012 by edsel
Mere hours before TMZ reported that Ray J was being sued for losing borrowed designer clothes in the room of Whitney Houston the day before her death back in February, the singer found the said clothes.
In an exclusive report posted by TMZ on Wednesday, an L.A. stylist named Marc Littlejohn filed a lawsuit against Ray. The singer reputedly hired the stylist to help him suit up for a Grammy event. Littlejohn lent Ray $2,880 worth of designer threads. The pricey fabrics include two suits and one jacket.
According to legal documents, Littlejohn claimed that Ray J left the designer clothes in the Beverly Hilton hotel room where Whitney Houston died. The lawsuit claimed that the articles disappeared after Houston’s death. Littlejohn asked that Ray either find and return the missing designer threads, or pay him $2,880.
On Wednesday, a representative of Ray informed TMZ that the mystery of the missing designer clothes had already already solved on Tuesday, rendering the TMZ report amusingly outdated even before it was published.
According to the rep, an associate of Whitney Houston delivered the designer clothes over to Ray J. TMZ sources said that the items joined the rest of Whitney’s belongings when her family cleared the room following Houston’s tragic death.
The same sources informed TMZ that the associates of Whitney Houston could not immediately contact Ray J about the lost-and-found designer clothes because he changed his phone number.
Ray J gets sued for missing designer clothes in Whitney Houston room

It seems Whitney Houston is really haunting supposed former boyfriend Ray J, as Ray is now being sued for expensive clothes that allegedly went missing inside Whitney’s room the day before she died.
According to TMZ, L.A. Stylist Marc Littlejohn recently filed a lawsuit against the alleged boyfriend of the late Whitney Houston. The stylist claims that Ray J hired him for wardrobe styling services on February 10 for a Grammy-related event.
Littlejohn allegedly lent Ray J expensive articles of clothing to try on. The stylist then alleged that all the borrowed duds were in the Beverly Hilton hotel room of Whitney Houston before the day she died. According to the lawsuit, the pricey clothes disappeared after Whitney died.
Rumors alleged that Ray J was romantically linked with Whitney Houston during her last days. He also reportedly saw the diva shortly before she died. Ray and Houston’s family have slammed those rumors as untrue.
As has been reported by TMZ and other sources, police swarmed over Room 434 at the Beverly Hilton in search of any evidence of foul play in the death of Whitney Houston. The coroner declared that Houston died from a combination of drowning, heart disease, and long-term use of cocaine.
TMZ reported that Marc Littlejohn is now suing Ray J for $2,880. The stylist claimed that he has repeatedly reached out to both the singer and his mother/manager to recover the clothes or be paid.
Ray J has just recently been released from the hospital. The singer was found unconscious in his hotel room by model Sophie Monk after a post-Billboard Music Awards party. He was treated for exhaustion related to jet lag and had reportedly run the risk of a fatal blood clot in his respiratory system.
Ray J owes life to fellow Prince Reigns endorser Sophie Monk

Ray J apparently owes his life to a good business decision to endorse an ingrown hair shaving product.
TMZ earlier reported that Ray J was rushed to the hospital Monday morning for exhaustion and dehydration. According to sources, the person who called an ambulance for the stricken singer-songwriter was lovely model Sophie Monk.
Sophie Monk and Ray are partners in endorsing the Prince Reigns Ingrown Hair Shaving serum. After attending Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards, they had hosted an after-party to promote their product.
When they returned to their hotel, the two Prince Reigns endorsers proceeded to their separate rooms. However, Sophie Monk supposedly had a bad feeling that Ray J wasn’t okay. She then decided to check up on Ray to make sure he was alright- and found him unconscious on the floor.
Sophie Monk called hotel management, which in turn called 911. An ambulance soon arrived to take Ray J to the hospital.
Ray has already been released from the hospital earlier this Wednesday. According to US Weekly, he underwent an extensive battery of tests to ensure that he did not have a blood clot in his lungs, which is potentially a deadly condition that can occur following a long haul plane flight.
Ray J and Sophie Monk signed contracts worth $1 million to endorse the Prince Reigns product. It’s possibly the best business decision Ray ever made, considering it saved his life- which makes Sophie his best business partner.
The last days of Whitney Houston as told by Vanity Fair
May 7th, 2012 by edsel
The June issue of Vanity Fair unveils even more facts about the last days of late singer Whitney Houston. E! News reports that the magazine issue -which will go on sale this week- drew its information from sources and friends close to the deceased diva.
Like many stars, Whitney Houston apparently used a secret identity to protect her privacy. A week before her scheduled appearance at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party, Whitney and a small group arrived at the Beverly Hilton. Vanity Fair reported that Whitney checked in using the pseudonym ‘Elizabeth Collins.’
And according to her friends, Whitney was also working on getting clean. She had reconnected with her drug counselor Warren Boyd just before she died.
Her friends also dismissed earlier reports of the supposed ‘spectacle’ of Whitney Houston doing handstands alongside the pool of the Beverly Hilton during her final week. They claimed to Vanity Fair that such behavior was not erratic or drug-addled, but proof of Whitney starting fresh. Houston’s handstands were the results of her daily exercise and vow to quit smoking.
Whitney’s friends also explained the eruption in the Beverly Hilton gift shop. Whitney Houston had spotted a National Enquirer headline that declared, “Whitney Collapses! Strung Out & Broke, It’s Worse Than Anyone Thought!” The sobered-up singer simply took the criticism too hard.
Vanity Fair reported that Whitney Houston was also preparing for a comeback. She entered the studio the Tuesday before her death to work on ‘Celebrate,’ her duet with Jordin Sparks for their movie ‘Sparkle.’
She was also involved with other men. During her divorce with Bobby Brown, Whitney’s estranged husband hooked up with video vixen Karrine Steffans. Steffans recalled that Bobby Brown received a phone call from Ray J, on-off lover of Whitney Houston.
“He said, ‘Is Bob still staying you?’” Karrine Steffans recounted to Vanity Fair. “I said, ‘Yeah, he’s right here.’ And Ray said, ‘Tell him I f–ked both of his chicks, you and now his wife.’”
In addition to Ray J, Whitney Houston hung out with Grammy nominee Kelly Price. Just two nights before her death, Whitney accompanied Price at an event at Tru nightclub.
After taking to stage to sing ‘Jesus Loves Me,’ Whitney reportedly confronted ‘X Factor’ performer Stacy Francis. According to Vanity Fair, Whitney allegedly shouted “This is my man!” at Stacy Francis, whom she suspected was trailing Price. “I’m a cougar! Bitch, get away from my man!”
Photograpers caught Whitney Houston on her way out of the club with scratched and bruised legs. Stacy Francis later called the encounter “a misunderstanding.”
Finally, Vanity Fair revealed why officials took so long to remove Houston’s body from her Beverly Hilton hotel room. According to the magazine’s account, it wasn’t than any red tape or incompetence, but Whitney’s heartbroken family and friends.
Cousin Dionne Warwick was the calmest of Whitney’s family. She took time to shake hands with coroner Ed Winter. ”I know Mr. Winter will take good care of Whitney,” she told everyone present.
“Thank you for taking such good care of Michael Jackson,” Dionne told Eric Winter.
Vanity Fair said that Eric Winter waited until the early hours of the night before removing the body of Whitney Houston because it took that long to clear the lobby of the likes of Tom Hanks, Diddy, Neil Young, and Tony Bennett.
And even after the lobby was cleared, Whitney’s family wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye to her. Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina required her own medical assistance, and sister-in-law Pat Houston suffered “kind of an anxiety attack.”
“The family wanted to maybe spend a few minutes with her before we loaded her off,” Eric Winter told Vanity Fair regarding the grieving family of Whitney Houston.
Ray J ordered to pay $26K after bailing out on radio gig
April 24th, 2012 by faye
Singer-songwriter Ray J has been ordered by a judge to pay more than $26,000 to a radio station after he blew off a supposed radio gig.
According to reports, 31-year-old Ray J, real name William Ray Norwood Jr., has been sued by a South Carolina radio station called Cox Radio back in 2010. The station claims it paid the singer $20,000 to MC a local event for a couple of hours, then attend a meet-and-greet with fans for another 30 minutes. However, Ray J bailed out on the radio gig and fled with the money that was given to him.
A South Carolina judge ruled in favor of Cox Radio for $25,100 because Ray J never showed up. But still, the singer did not pay what was due to him for the no-show radio gig, so Cox Radio took the judgment to Ray’s primary state of residence, which is in California.
The judgment against Ray J has since amounted to $26,848.33.
Ray J denies giving drugs to Whitney Houston
March 28th, 2012 by faye
After the official toxicology reports of Whitney Houston came out last week, it was found that the late diva died from accidental drowning. What’s more, they also found cocaine and prescription drugs in her system. Because of this, Whitney’s sister-in-law is accusing Ray J of supplying the drugs to the “I Will Always Love You” singer.
According to the report of the Los Angeles Coroners, the 48-year-old Whitney Houston used cocaine “immediately prior to her collapse.” However, investigators found no sign of cocaine in Houston’s Beverly Hills hotel room. It is believed that whoever supplied the cocaine must have removed it from the room.
Whitney Houston’s sister-in-law, Leolah Brown, appeared on “CNN’s Headline News” last week and told Dr. Drew that she saw Ray J leaving the late singer’s hotel room on the night of her death. Leolah even claims that Ray J was nothing more than Whitney Houston’s “runner boy” who brought her drugs whenever she requested them.
The 31-year-old Ray J eventually got wind of the accusations thrown at him, and now he is adamant to clear his name and deny the allegations that he supplies the drugs to Whitney Houston. The rapper released a statement to ‘Us Weekly’ saying that the remarks made by Leolah Brown are “rife with false statements.” Ray J’s rep told the magazine:
“Even though Leolah Brown was nowhere near the Beverly Hilton Hotel on the day Whitney Houston died, Ms. Brown falsely claimed that Ray J was at the hotel and contributed to Whitney Houston’s death. Even the most minimal inquiry with anyone actually in contact with Whitney would reveal that Leolah Brown had been out of contact with Whitney for more than a year.”
Also, rumors about Ray J and Whitney Houston having a sex tape have been slammed by the rapper and his reps. He claims no pictures or video were ever taken during his intimate moments with the late diva.
Ray J slams rumors about sex tape with Whitney Houston
March 23rd, 2012 by faye
Singer-songwriter Ray J is adamant to squash the rumors that he and his late diva girlfriend Whitney Houston have a sex tape.
According to reports from Star magazine, a source claims that Ray J “has a ton of sexually explicit photos and videos of Whitney,” causing Houston’s family to panic that he might leak the photos and videos which could ruin her legacy. Additionally, Star magazine claims that the family of Whitney Houston is pleading with Ray J not to release the material, but he is purportedly stalling because “he knows he’s sitting on a gold mine,” a so-called source alleges.
“Despicable tabloid reports released today claiming the existence of a sex tape between Ray J and Whitney Houston is not true,” Ray’s rep said in a statement. “This story along with so many others has been released to sell magazines.”
The rep insisted, “There is no sex tape or explicit photos.”
Meanwhile, a source close to the Houston family said, “No one has heard anything about any sex tapes or photos, nor has the family spoken to Ray J regarding this,” adding, “It’s not true.”
