Someone seems to be really mad with ‘Machete’ director, Robert Rodriguez! An actress/writer claims that Robert Rodriguez and another co-director stole her ideas so that they could make the machete-wielding revenge film.

And the actress/writer who filed the lawsuit against Robert Rodriguez? Yvonne Delarosa. It was reported that Yvonne Delarosa filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court against Robert Rodriguez and Machete co-director Ethan Maniquis. Yvonne Delarosa is claiming that back in 2005, one of the directors, Ethan Maniquis solicited her for ideas because they are planning to make a movie in which a man goes on a killing spree using a machete. Yvonne Delarosa said Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis used these ideas of hers without compensating her. The said movie ‘Machete’ was released in 2010.

Now, Yvonne Delarosa is suing both Ethan Maniquis and his Machete co-director Robert Rodriguez for breach of contract, seeking unspecified damages.

Yvonne Delarosa did not specify in the lawsuit which ideas belong to her. No comments  have been published yet from Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis’ production company .
