Rodney Peete, a former National Football League star and host of “Best Damn Sports Show Period” has been hit with a lawsuit over Christmas lights worth $4,150.
According to reports, a company named Christmas Lights Guys has filed legal docs against 46-year-old Rodney Peete — Holly Robinson Peete’s husband — claiming they installed the massive Christmas lights assembly on the Los Angeles home of the couple back in 2009. The lawsuit states that Peete, a 1988 Heisman Trophy finalist agreed to pay an amount of $4,150 for the holiday lights from Christmas Lights Guys, but he never paid up.
Now, the company is going after Rodney Peete in court demanding for payment. So far, calls to the rep of Peete have not been returned yet.
Rodney Peete is a former football quarterback from the University of Southern California who played in the National Football League for 16 years. He retired back in 2004 and is now broadcasting.
