Model Sarah Stage sues Playboy for delay in payment

A model named Sarah Stage who worked for adult magazine Playboy is suing the company for a whopping $225,000, claiming that Playboy did not pay her on time.

According to a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court earlier this month, Sarah Stage claims that she worked for Playboy on November 23 and 24, 2009 and both parties agreed that she would be paid a total amount of $15,000 for the work that she has done.

Stage said in the suit that Playboy agreed to fork over the payment as soon as possible, but she did not see a dime for weeks. Instead, Sarah claims she had to repeatedly badger Playboy to give her the payment until they finally cut her a check on January 11, 2010.

Sarah Stage added that California Labor law entitles her to 30 days worth of late penalties, which would be her daily rates times 30 — amounting to a staggering amount of $225,000 in late fees.

The model is now suing Playboy for the six-figure payout, plus attorney’s fees and costs.

Stage is said to be one of Sacha Baron Cohen’s “bodyguards” when the comedian “accidentally” spilled ash all over host Ryan Seacrest during the Oscar Awards.
