Actress Sean Young will not face charges after she was arrested at an Academy Awards party for slapping a security person, Los Angeles city attorney’s office says.

As previous reports have stated, Sean Young was involved in a “physical altercation” and taken into custody by the person she was fighting with. A security guard at the Governors Ball made the arrest after Young slapped him when the security asked for her ticket and she did not have it. John Franklin, a spokesman for the city attorney said, “Our prosecutors declined to file charges due to insufficient evidence.”

The 52-year-old actress, who starred in ‘Ace Ventura: Pet Detective,’ has demanded an apology and on Facebook said she suffered a bruised arm during the altercation with security at the Academy Awards party.

“I just want everyone to know that I was sober, extremely well-behaved when a very stupid security guard went postal on me,” Sean Young wrote.

Sean Young was one of the ten people arrested during and after Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremony, officials said. Most of the arrests, which included misdemeanors and felonies, were for fraudulent, lapsed or nonexistent credentials, Los Angeles Police Department Cmdr. Andrew Smith said.

However, it appears Sean Young is still suffering after she was spotted wearing a neck brace last Wednesday. The mother-of-two revealed that she refused to take painkillers for the injuries she apparently sustained during the incident at the Academy Awards. Young claims she was hurt in the altercation with security guards.

Sean Young wrote on her Facebook: “My neck is killing me, and my arms are still sore from Sunday night. I think when those security guards descended upon me, I got hurt. I went to the doctor’s but I’m in agony… I can’t believe those barbarians… I refuse to take any painkillers.”

Young added that when she turned around to pull her arm away, she struck the security.

The 52-year-old Sean Young took to her Facebook page to criticize the Academy Awards security for her arrest after the Oscar telecast Sunday and even demanded an apology as she claims she suffered a bruised arm during the said altercation with security.

“I just want everyone to know that I was sober, extremely well behaved when a very stupid security guard went postal on me and then The Academy’s very stupid lawyer recommended a ‘private person’s arrest’ and I have grounds for a lawsuit against the Academy Awards, although I believe a public apology to me would be much better. I am OK and I have the Hollywood Police Station’s support who very carefully and kindly photographed the bruises on my arms which this guard is responsible for doing,” Sean Young wrote.

According to jail records, the ‘No Way Out’ star was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor battery and released on $20,000 bail about 3 a.m. Sean Young is scheduled to appear in court March 19. Young says police also took photographs of bruises on her arm and hinted at legal action against the Academy Awards unless she gets a public apology.

Young was among 10 people arrested during and after Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremony, officials said. LAPD Cmdr. Andrew Smith said that most of the arrests, which included misdemeanors and felonies, were for fraudulent, lapsed or nonexistent credentials.

According to the reports, Young was standing near the entrance of the Governor’s Ball, taking pictures with friends when security guards realized the actress did not have a ticket so they asked her to leave. Sean Young left, only to come back shortly thereafter, and when security asked her to leave again, a guard may have placed his hand on her arm when Sean allegedly slapped him.

Officer Wendy Reyes said that the 52-year-old Sean Young was placed under citizen’s arrest and taken to the Hollywood division of the Los Angeles Police Department. The arrest of Young took place about 10:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of Highland Avenue, which includes the Hollywood and Highland Center, the site of the Oscars and the Academy Awards after-party.
