Actor Shia LaBeouf claimed that filming the hit movie “Transformers” felt like having a “finger up your ass” — and now, Shia says he is quitting big budget movies for good.

According to reports, 26-year-old Shia LaBeouf recently spoke with media outlet The Hollywood Reporter, swearing off studio flicks for the rest of his life — all in favor of a career starring in indie films. The “Surf’s Up” star said, “I’m done … There’s no room for being a visionary in the studio system. It literally cannot exist.”

The actor went on, saying, “You give Terrence Malick a movie like ‘Transformers’, and he’s f**ked. There’s no way for him to exist in that world.”

Shia LaBeouf then elaborated about the people behind his new movie entitled “Lawless,” saying: “These dudes are a miracle … They give you the money, and they trust you — [unlike the studios, which] give you the money, then get on a plane and come to the set and stick a finger up your ass and chase you around for five months.”

Shia LaBeouf became known among younger audiences for his part in the Disney Channel series “Even Stevens” and for his film debut in “Holes” (2003) — a movie based on the novel of the same name by Louis Sachar. In 2004, he made his directorial debut with the short film “Let’s Love Hate” and later directed and shot the music video for “I Never Knew You” by rapper Cage. In 2007, Shia LaBeouf starred as the lead in the commercially successful films, “Disturbia” and “Transformers.” His other films include “Indiana Jones” and the “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” (2008), “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” (2009), “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” (2010), and “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” (2011).
