Bankruptcy Case of T-Boz from ‘TLC” Dismissed, Says She is a Scrub
February 14th, 2012 by faye
The odds are definitely not on the side of ex-TLC member T-Boz as she is currently under a major setback after the judge dismissed her bankruptcy case – and even accused her of being a scrub!
The judge in T-Boz’ bankruptcy case decided to dismiss her case and refused to give her any protection from the creditors that are after her. The reason? T-Boz’ failure to make any attempts of paying her debts.
T-Boz, real name Tionne Watkins, filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy in October of 2011, claiming she owes $768,642.99 to multiple creditors. According to the court docs, the bankruptcy case was dismissed because T-Boz completely dropped the ball dealing with her affairs, failing to make any attempts to pay off her debts, appear at a creditors’ meeting, or not be a scrub in general.
The judge ended the bankruptcy case, giving complete control to the creditors to go after all the assets T-Boz has. The said creditors now have the right to run after T-Boz until the singer files for bankruptcy again, but she cannot re-file until the end of July, 180 days after the original case was dismissed.
Calls to T-Boz’ reps were not returned.
