Hutton Gibson, father of Hollywood actor Mel Gibson, claims he was abused by his soon-to-be-ex-wife Teddy Joye Gibson.
As previous reports have stated, 93-year-old Hutton Gibson filed for divorce on Monday from his wife, Teddy Joye. The divorce papers filed in Los Angeles cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split from his wife.
“The Bounty” star Mel Gibson and his family have been tending to his father who is seriously ill with a number of ailments. Hutton has been taking a slew of medications for his conditions. However, Teddy Joye believes that the family of Hutton is prolonging his suffering and wishes to stop all medicines to accelerate his death. She believes that is what Hutton Gibson wants as well.
It is reported that Mel Gibson has taken the lead to make sure that his father is getting the right medication, and also believes that Teddy Joye is guilty of elder abuse by her conduct. Now, the actor wants his stepmom to leave his father’s house. Hutton Gibson tied the knot with Teddy Joye in 2002, 12 years after his first wife, Anne Reilly, passed away. Hutton and Anne had 11 children, which includes Mel Gibson.
Hutton Gibson is a hardline Catholic, just like his son, Mel. Hutton, a World War II veteran, is said to be an outspoken critic of the post-Vatican II Roman Catholic Church. He has been accused of anti-Semitism and denying the Holocaust.
Reports say the divorce settlement may not be as costly as Mel’s. The actor’s divorce from his wife of 31 years, Robyn Gibson, ended in her claiming a reported $400 million. Robyn filed for divorce after news went around that Mel’s then-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, was pregnant.

Actress Lindsay Lohan has just recently had her formal probation lifted, and yet here she is embroiled again in another run-in with the law. Lohan is accused of alleged battery at a nightclub on Thursday night.
According to reports, a woman filed an incident report of alleged battery with the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department, claiming Lindsay Lohan started a fight with her inside a nightclub at the Standard Hotel last week. The alleged victim claims that the actress shoved her during an argument over a man, saying she was injured on her back and there are visible bruises. However, Lohan denies the alleged battery.
But sources say Lindsay Lohan claims that she didn’t even leave the house that night. Moreover, Lohan allegedly stayed at home and watched TV that night, currently catching up on the Showtime series “Homeland.” Steve Honig, Lohan’s spokesman also told Reuters, “Lindsay Lohan was never at the club and the whole thing is one big lie. Whomever started this will be held accountable for their malicious and unfounded accusations.”
Sources also added that Lindsay Lohan is particularly frustrated by the accusations of an alleged battery, because even when she stays home to avoid trouble, she feels that it still follows her anyway.
The actress is hoping to stage a comeback after years of legal troubles stemming from a 2007 DUI case. Lindsay Lohan hosted “Saturday Night Live” last month, is set to guest star on “Glee” later this year and has been cast as Elizabeth Taylor in a TV biopic for Lifetime titled “Liz and Dick.”

The ongoing feud between model-actress Christie Brinkley and her architect ex-husband Peter Cook keeps on getting nastier. The two are back in court, both claiming the other violated the terms of their divorce agreement.
While Cook claims that he thinks Christie Brinkley wanted their court battle to be public “to coincide with her return to the stage in ‘Chicago,’” Brinkley’s attorney says Cook’s claims are “delusional”…
Lawyer Tom Campagna released a statement saying Christie Brinkley “will not take the bait,” but that she “will stand up for herself and her children and refuses to be bullied.” Additionally, lawyer Campagna discredits the allegations of Peter Cook that he paid more than he was asked in child support, adding, “he has been regularly behind in payments.”
“She can use her celebrity to get the media to say, ‘He’s a bad guy,’” Cook claims. “You know… I’m not trying to sell tickets to anything. I don’t want this press. I’m not interested in it. And there’s got to be a better way for her to do it. Go do a charitable act or something, get your name in the paper. But stop throwing your family under the bus.”
Peter Cook explained why he didn’t pay child support to Christie Brinkley last year. It’s because “the children were in my full-time care,” the architect says.
“I’m here, not to attack Christie Brinkley, but to defend myself,” Cook went on. “To be called a ‘deadbeat dad’ to me is such a horrible, spiteful thing to say, besides the fact that it’s totally untrue… I pay more child support than I was required to by court.”
Peter Cook added, “I do the kids’ laundry, I cook the kids’ food. I drive them to school. I run their errands. I do their homework with them. It’s me. With [Brinkley's] resources, if I was a bad guy—if you had $80 million dollars—would you let a bad guy have your kids for a day? Or would you fight him so he never has contact with those children again?” Cook went on, saying, “Am I the villain that you’re going to publicly castrate as she’s doing currently in the press or am I the good dad? Because in a few weeks she’s going to surrender the kids to me again. Full time. So which is it? Make up your mind, but it can’t be both.”
The attorney of Christie Brinkley said that it’s per court order that the children are put in Cook’s care when she’s away for more than two days., “[It's] something Christie fought against,” Peter Cook adds.
“The Court granted Christie Brinkley sole legal and residential custody and final decision making power for their children,” the statement continues. “Peter’s claims of being the ‘primary caregiver’ are delusional.”
