It’s now up to the L.A. District Attorney’s Office whether or not Justin Bieber will be prosecuted for the alleged battery of a celebrity photographer last month.

E! News reported this Tuesday that the Malibu/Lost Hills Station of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department completed its investigation into allegations that the 18-year-old Justin Bieber beat up a paparazzo in the parking lot of a Calabasas shopping center last month. A rep for the police station said that they presented the evidence about the alleged battery to the L.A. District Attorney’s Office.

“It is now in the D.A.’s hand,” said the police rep, “To decide whether they are going to file charges.”

According to E! News, the police rep could not confirm if Justin Bieber was ever interviewed regarding the alleged battery. He did say that the department “completed a thorough investigation.”

Authorities previously expressed plans to talk to Bieber after his alleged battery last May. But that was before the Biebs suddenly bolted the U.S. to kick off a mini-tour of Europe, starting with Norway.

E! News reported that the ‘Boyfriend’ singer announced on Twitter that he had just finished autographing CDs for thousands of New York Beliebers. Bieber thanked those who showed up for their patience.

In a tweet he posted right before the CD-signing event, Justin Bieber tweeted that he was “Glad that [it's] finally all about the music.”

Days before his supposed Sunday scuffle in Calabasas, California, Justin Bieber had been taking tips from boxing legend Mike Tyson, which may explain why that paparazzo went down and stayed down during the alleged fight.

According to Gossip Cop, The Biebs dropped by Iron Mike’s Las Vegas, Nevada studio during the Billboard Music Awards. Mike Tyson proceeded to coach the 19-year-old singer through an impromptu training session.

Pleased with his protege, Mike Tyson later posted a video of Justin Bieber going after the punching bag like a professional.

(This probably spells bad news for Ukrainian kissing reporter Vitalii Sediu. After getting slapped by Smith, Sediuk planned to kiss Bieber’s girlfriend Selena Gomez. He also declared that he wasn’t afraid of Bieber, who was “not competition.”)

Justin Bieber has shown that he has always been interested in boxing. Gossip Cop earlier reported that the singing sensation escorted Floyd Mayweather Jr. to the ring during the latter’s bout with Miguel Cotto. Bieber even got to carry Mayweather’s championship belt. After Mayweather won, the boxer posed with Bieber, Lil Wayne, and 50 Cent in the ring.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were heading home after a date when Bieber allegedly got into a brawl with an overzealous paparazzo who reportedly blocked Bieber’s car. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office has since named Bieber a suspect in the alleged battery.

Just who started the fight that left a paparazzo beaten up and Justin Bieber a suspect for alleged battery? The Hollywood Gossip reported that the legitimacy of the celebrity gossip photographer’s allegations were already being challenged by eyewitnesses.

In a police report, the paparazzo claimed that he attempted to take a photo of Justin Bieber around noon Monday outside The Commons mall in Calabasas, California. Bieber was accompanying Selena Gomez at the time.

The 19-year-old singer was reportedly angered by the paparazzo. The ensuing physical confrontation left the photographer on the ground while Bieber stomped off with the worried Selena Gomez in tow. The paparazzo complained about upper torso pain and was rushed to the hospital.

But according to eyewitnesses who approached TMZ, the paparazzo provoked a fight with Justin Bieber by blocking Bieber’s car. The ‘Boyfriend’ singer asked the paparazzo to move out of the way. When the latter refused, Bieber attempted to get him to move, which resulted in the lopsided fight.

Afterwards, according to TMZ sources, an attorney approached the paparazzo. The lawyer supposedly suggested that the paparazzo call an ambulance and press charges in order to get money from Bieber.

Neither Justin Bieber or his representatives have issued statements on the matter. The office of the Los Angeles County Sheriff are hoping to speak to Bieber and Selena Gomez within the week.
